you do not want it to shift at all. Lock out 6th. run it in 5th gear.

Yeah, I kind of knew that from watching videos of dyno's, but I thought they knew what they were doing. He told me 4th is where you want to run it. Thats frustrating, they were in a hurry in the first place, and now I find out they pretty much waisted my money. :angry4:

I will probably give them a call and tell them they need to re-dyno it.

4th gear is for any allison. 5th can load the turbos more, but will be off of true.
I've always heard that you need to run vehicles in drive (1:1) on a dyno, but what is the reason the results are off otherwise. Can't you just divide the multiplication of the other gears out and get the same result?

Good numbers, though.

Matt wasn't there. I have talked to him a few times, but never met him

He should be back in the shop tomorrow, Matt and Bill are the main ones who run the dyno, they have both been off for 2 weeks hunting , those #'s are fairly close to what I would expect on that dyno , it runs tighter than most .

That dyno is a stingy one but its probably the one that is closet to true numbers. Plus they run incorrect numbers. That to me is better cause my truck will probably never be at sea lvl so I don't care what the correction number is

mustang is a load cell dyno, dyno jets are inertia

the schied employee that ran my truck must not know what hes talking about then. i was told the same by several different people.
idk, i could care less either way lol but i dont see how an inertia dyno would be any good at all on a turbo vehicle that needs load to get them lite.
