What are people running for an intake on the 4202, I have a Banks, I was going to twin the truck, but am going to run a 4202 for now instead. The Banks is 4" and I have seen some nice 5'' pipes with a cone filter on the end, Thanks

You can put a lb7 y-pipe on lly, it bolts right up to the lly boost manifolds. Use a larger lb7 passenger side intercooler pipe.

im sure you could just get a boot and build away from the mouthpiece, similar setup that way.

Ive used both of these setups with my HTT. First i started with a silicone 4" 90 and built back to my banks ram air box. Then after a while i switched to an LB7 intake bridge and came off the charger with a strait shot Into 4" tube feeding my now modified banks ram air filter setup. Seems more responsive with the straight shot although i feel that the LB7 bridge is mucho restrictive as its only 2 inches inside.

Nick you Meat ball I told you that 2 years ago:rolleyes:

If you make it 3" will the intake still fit? The ID of the actuall bridge is 3" +/-

Here is what I did, its cheap and works great. I got the boot from a fleet supply company for $15 (something about a toilet and plumbers would recoginize it) and the rest came from Orilley's. The boot is a 5" to 4" elbow and the rest are 4" pieces I just clamped together-its not perfect but it seals off good and fit great for my first time doing it.

So Cal.
You are majorly effecting power squeezing it down to 4" on the intake. It will spool quicker and run alot harder when that is fixed. Also the rubber adapter on the front of the charger will suck it self closed furter restricting flow. That will need to be updated when the engine comes down.Other then that is looks nice.

If you need help let me know...

Dan

Here is what i've got. Started with 90* and 45* mandrel bent pieces and a small piece of six inch where the filter attaches. To attach the pieces i used 5 inch radiator hose meant for some sort of large equipment.

I adapted the stock intake to my turbo for a couple days. The difference between it and the five inch intake was huge.
