I've got a 18" long x 7" tip on my regular cab but its tucked up and dumped over the axle.

I'm putting a 36"x8" tip on my crew cab eventually but it also has 24" rims and 10" of lift.

Going from a 4" inlet to 12" is frickin dumb though.

Personally, I like a clean pipe. However, my 5" was just a touch short and plastering my white rig with black. I went with a 5"-7" tip. I did an 18" long black tip with painted black pipe. With my 4" lift it blended nicely. I do think tip diameter choices depend on how it flows with the rest of the rig (tires, lift, etc).

I think mine looks pretty good, but I would prefer just my 5" pipe painted black terminating with no tip, but the 7" looks pretty good. A short bright, shiny, giant tip that doesnt flow and taper nicely just looks bad to my eye.

However, with that said I am now in the market for a 12" chrome tip. :happy2:

My 5" to 6" tip fit perfectly when I had my lift and 37s. Now that it sits lower than stock it looks too big for the rest of the truck and I am wanting to switch to a 4" throughout.
