For the record, i HATE flat billed hats...

I wouldve agreed with this whole heartedly 15yrs ago, but bieng in the pro motoX scene and pro-am snowboarder scene for the last decade, i have to call BS here...

Some of the biggest brassiest ballsiest dudes ive ever witnessed ride a bike or board slap a flat bill on as soon as they are done with a ride:cool:

I dont get it, but its true
Giant tips do look dumb but i found this wile browsing craigslist. Its for an diesel performance shop lol

Heres the link if you cant see pic
http://columbus.craigslist.org/ptd/4862574003.html

:roflmao:

I belly laughed at this pic
CHEEZUS!

You could make an entire long runner sheet metal intake out of all the metal that tip has!

I cant believe theres guys that have that pre-made waiting for someone to buy it... :dontknow:

But i actually saw one almost as big on a mega cab dodge last night...
I was idleing in a parking lot waiting for my wife and the owner of the truck come out...he looked over at my truck and got the puffy chest syndrome...i laughed right at him

Then he literally jumps up into his truck, cuz he was a man of small stature and his truck was lifted...fires it up and lays the throttle down
:hmm:

Big cloud...

My wife comes out just as he's leaving, and lo and behold, we wind up side by side at the stoplight...

I think you guys know what happened next...
:D

:driving:

I dislike them as well, but when i rode with Champion, the sponsors ONLY had flatbill hats. Get off the bike, gotta put your hat on to represent. Typical marketing but i could only wear it backwards. And the white hats usually lasted 3 races before you couldnt even read them from dust and dirt ect.

I also agree with all of the big exhaust tip comments. Just serves no purpose. Put a dual walled MBRP tip on that fits the truck (at most 6" outlet) put the rest of the money for the outrageous huge tips into a good detailing and just have a clean ride :thumb:

Don't worry Tom, it may seem like it, but we won't really hate you for the new 4-10" tip you just bought for the 1500 & your new Lions flat bill hat. :D

I feel you though. ;)

Yeah, it really was just a little sarcasm. Mostly it just looks douchy. I really wouldn't base someones skill on their hat. It is just something we use to say back in the day.

Oh yeah, I ride big mountain- what do you do in snowboarding out of curiosity? Riding is what I love:thumb: No flat brim though:rofl:

Well bud, I "used to" ride, and i did have a few sponsors, like
Mervin Mfg, spacecraft and oneball J...
The flat bill hats were just gaining polularity with the younger guys when i was gettin too old to be competitive, but bottom line was I just didnt have the talent or motivation to stay sponsored...eventually "real life" kinda took over

My older daughter is an accomplished amateur motoX rider who has attained quite the impressive list of sponsors over the last two years, and due to her success Ive been able to rub shoulders in the pro/am motoX world too

It seems like no matter what sport it is, for the last decade or more, anyone with a sponsor wears a flat bill hat...
I still think they look ridiculous, but hell, I'm a no talent hack, a hater and a royal schmuck
:roflmao:
