4" or 6" Lift kit. I would like to know what is best for these trucks for as lift goes. I don’t need the 6" lift but if it is the better way to go I will go that wrought. 33" to 35" MAX that is big enough for me. I like the looks of them with some lift my stock looking C-cab with 285s on H2 wheel s just don’t get it. I do local pulls and track time but just as play nothing serious.
Thanks for the help Jim C

4" will actually help suspension geometry at pulls, and 33" tires can usually be balanced pretty well, not too hard to find a good wearing quiet tire in that size also, 6" may not find a street friendly tire to fill the wheel wells just my opinion after owning a truck with 37s

Everyone that i know that has a 4" always wishes they had a 6". The good thing about most 6" lifts is they can be lowered to around a 4.5" lift and have perfectly straight CV angles with very little tire rub.

I have a 6" and 33" tires that I'm getting ready to drop 2" in the rear and an inch or so in the front. I'd do 4 and if this truck hadn't had a 6 on it when I bought it,, I would have done 4 on it as well.

This is how it sits for now on the 6" tuff country,,,,,

You can get a 6" with flat CVs/steering or a 4" with flat CVs/steering. Jsut depends on the lift you go with and how you set it up. i have a 8" lowered to 6.5" on 37s and love it. Not all lifts have 2" of flexablility (ie: being able to lift/lower the truck 2" by the torsion bars) so do research on the lift your lookin at.

I went 8" suspension lift with a 3" body lift and took it all off and sold. Putting a Dana 60 4 Linked front and rear with 12"ish lift and 40's. SAS is the way to go :)

Go 6 inch. You can always drop it to 4 or 5 if you want.

Instead of making a new thread figured I'd revive this one... I basically have my t bars cranked to level the truck and fit 33s love the looks but not the cv angles the truck shudders in 4x4 at wot... So I don't want the front end any higher than it is now should I get a 4in lift and lower it all the way or a 6 and lower it all the way im thinking 4 because I only need about 2-3in of lift..... Any thoughts guys?

Same here I need a little more than the bars all the way up and would like a little softer ride. So can anyone recommend a good 4" kit?

I'm lifted a little more than needed but didn't want to trim the bumper at all and love the look... I'd like to maintain the same height with the bolts backed all the way out and possibly even have the cvs pointed upwards a little but don't know if this is even possible
