Here's a reference pic of how close I am to rubbing and why I'm as cranked as I am... In a side note Love the Goodyear duratracs!

Instead of making a new thread figured I'd revive this one... I basically have my t bars cranked to level the truck and fit 33s love the looks but not the cv angles the truck shudders in 4x4 at wot... So I don't want the front end any higher than it is now should I get a 4in lift and lower it all the way or a 6 and lower it all the way im thinking 4 because I only need about 2-3in of lift..... Any thoughts guys?

Cognito 4" set at 3.5" will only be about an inch higher than your sitting now. CV's will be perfect and suspension will be within factory specs.

I went with a cognito 4-6" kit, and I couldnt be happier with it! No way would I want or need a 7-9 or anything more
I used to run a 285/75-18" tire (34.8x11.6) and now I run a 295/70-18" tire (34.6x12.0) and Im stoked on the new ones!

I love the look of the truck set up like this, Ive done a bunch of suspension/handling mods to the chassis but the extra track width the lift kit provides really did make a difference in how well the rig corners, although I do have the torsion bars all the way down now...

IMNSHO, running a 4" kit and a tire size like ive got is a perfect look and drive for a CC/SB chevy. It doesnt sit up too high, it handles well, it drives nice, it looks aggressive yet still pulls off a "leveled stock like" impression at first glance

U had to level to fit 33's? They should fit with out cranking the t-bars....
That is what I thought to, but it isn't happening.
I am thinking about buying lift now and was wondering if i could just get parts and put a set of coilovers in instead of even starting off with torsion bars. I didn't know if could save some money and have less parts laying around.

Lift kit help

I have a 07.5 lmm duramax. I got the truck and it already had a 6inch lift. I've looked all over the lift kit and cannot find a brand name and I've looked all.over the internet and can't find a lift like the one I've got. Someone please help. The lift has traction bars along side the torsion bars. It also uses a drip bracket on the top control arm instead of a taller knuckle to go up to meet it. Last question is can I let pressure off my torsion bars to bring it down to a 4 inch lift instead of 6. Thanks

Go with a 6 and just lower it to a 4 when you pull! Very easy to do just lower tbars as far as they will go and pop out your lift blocks. I know several people who do this often.

06 lbz built trans, airdog2, Ppe gauges, efi by eisenhart diesel, arp head studs, Danville billet 68mm 4094, custom traction bars, fuel rail shim, s&b intake, 5 inch mbrp 7 inch stack, 20x12 tis, Goodyear duratrac my.
