Custom8726- You have wrong information on running the stock rims with a T.C. lift! I have my M&H drag radials mounted on my stock PYO's and they work perfectly without any mods/spacers...

Thats good to know from first hand experience,;) Its odd that Tough country's web sight states that stock wheels will not fit. A vendor from diesel place that runs the 4" T.C. lift and sells them also told me they will not fit with out spacers:confused: But hey I don't have my 4" lift on yet so I will take your word on it and see for myself in a couple weeks. Thanks for the heads up :)

Hope the vendor was not Nick from NCT, because he's seen my truck with them on. Unless they have changed the design in the last year, it will work. It would look better with a 2" spacer in the rear, while running the M&H's though.

Here's my ride with a 4" TC with 33's on 18's....

I like not having to mess with the T bars for racing. They're already all the way down (within 1/8" or so on the adjuster). There is a little rake to the truck, but I'm okay with that.

Thanks. I did race a little with those. Now I have Mickey Thompson ATZs. I need to figure something out for racing. I don't have my stock wheels anymore :( There is a certain rational part of me that says AT tires at ~110 mph might not be the best idea on a consistent basis. Not to mention the traction advantages. I haven't raced since the twins went on.

Verry Nice. You have the 2.5 or 3" block in the rear?

Thanks......It's the 2-ish inch one.

"110 mph might not be the best idea on a consistent basis." <----- Exactly the reason I went with a dedicated tire, so I would not be tempted to run them on the street. I was going to go with a real slick, but would not be able to compete in the street legal class.

Great looking trucks guys!:beavisnbutthead:

Im doing a 4'' T.C. in the spring, but was wandering if anyone knows how the RealLift torsion Bar relocaters would work with this lift.

I love the look of the Cognito with the tucked up bars, but i think its a lot more $ than the T.C.

Is there a disadvantage of relocating the torsion bars? Assuming the kit you are talking about would work, are the T bars still paralell to the ground.....does it matter?

I've wondered why Tuff Country doesn't tuck them up farther.

Here's a 6" Pro Comp. I' running 37's right now and will be stuffing 39.5's under it in a few months. These don't rub at all. I cut half the bumbstops off on the lower A-arm to retain enough drop out so I could get it that high. I just leveled it out in the rear with a taller block. I know i'll get flames for it on here but I don't give a shit about this leift and CV angle and all that other crap. It is perfectly aligned and rides great. It was 1K cheaper than fabtech or cognito. It looks just as good. I'm going to SAS this truck at somepoint anyway so I don't care. I just couldn't drive it around stock when I bought it and at the time I was in the ARMY and couldn't do the SAS in it. I wanted a big truck and that's what ended up doing. I think a 4 " kit is a waist of money. When I look at truacks with a 4" kit, I can't even tell they have been lifted. If you don't want to go TOO high, then don't, leave it the **** alone. My truck doesn't race or sled pull and tows every great now and again. It just sits in the driveway ost of the time...............

Exactly the reason I did not go with anything more then a 4" lift. I actually use my truck:D. Stock height or key's would not work for what I do. To each, their own!!!!!!

I'm just sayin I don't think a 4 inch lift would be worth 1200 bucks to me. I know I sounded like an ass and didn't want to come across like that. I just don't see the point paying that kind of money to run the same size tire that you can get under the truck with keys alone. I'm in 100% agreement, to each his own.

There is nothing wrong with a 4" lift. There are a lot of guys that still would like to park in their garages, or parkade's which you can't do with a 6" lift.

IMO the 4" lift has a 10 times better ride than just keys. I've ridden in both and they don't compare. And on the classic bodystyle trucks, you can fit a 35" tire under them, but you may have to trim the front bumper.
