mine has an rcd 6" lift barely cranked. the drop alone is about 5". i get a bit of rubbing. but that is cuz the lmm fenderwells are more square than the classic body style.

my friend has the 4-6 cognito with upper control arms and loves it. he gets lotts of droop in the front and clears 35's no rubbing even off road with LOTS of trimming (but very pro and un-hacked looking)

both of our kits ride as good or better than stock:)

I'm just sayin I don't think a 4 inch lift would be worth 1200 bucks to me. I know I sounded like an ass and didn't want to come across like that. I just don't see the point paying that kind of money to run the same size tire that you can get under the truck with keys alone. I'm in 100% agreement, to each his own.

I beg to differ! I have a 2 1/2 leveling kit with 33in tires! Worst ride I have ever had in a truck! Rides like it's a 2 ton truck! I was looking to get just enough life to clear 33in. tires. They rub a little even after I trimed the bumper! Nothing really good about a leveling kit other than looks!

I would go with the 6in also. That is if you are not an old guy like me. Some days I think I might need a boost to get in.

Just cuz you can fit a tire with keys, doesnt mean you should.
Tire size is the priority? Ok.
So you can fit a tire with keys, what do the cv angles look like on that set up?
I can run a 35 no problem on a cognito 4" w/o cranking the t-bars. The tires would rub if you lowerer the t-bars, so you would have to change tires to get the most out of a 1/4
i personally like to stuff the biggest tire i can, on the lowest lift possible, trimming is a must, it is worth it to keep your center of gravity as low as possible, while still fitting a bigger tire, gives what i like to call "ability with stability"

Thanks for your service but take some anger out in the field
Your truck sits most of the time, it looks great
if you drove that truck everyday the way you have it set up, you would be here on DD asking
Wtf do i do
Your truck is set up to fall apart, even more so when you will try to stuff 39.5" tires under it
If your truck rides smooth after you crank out all your suspension travel, it will only be because you have soo much side wall
most of us here are more interested in maintianing practicality of our rigs, we work out of them, travel the country in them, race in them and play in them. Sometimes all in and for one trip!
Whatever floats ur boat
i wonder tho, what the F is that truck gonna be "good for" anyways? To sit and look at?
