Your right Kat. I just looked at mine again and it's good for 7.5's. Just the cage then I guess. I guess I don't need a new license unless a pro-stock or rail is in the future.

Its all in good fun , I doubt the Maxxed out crew is too worried about my truck , hell Rob has known about the 4 link before i even posted it and I am sharing all the info for the public. its not very good for Racing to share all your secrets if you are really trying to be the top truck , I just enjoy doing it plain and simple .

Now isnt this suposed to be a tech thread ? Any one have any master idea's on Dmax 4 links ?

Good luck with the build Trent should be awesome to see next year.

Yes 4 links can be built many ways but in drag racing 4 links typically parallel, the only time you see different styles of 4 links is in crawlers or off roading trucks, they do the bars different to avoid having to run a pan hard bar.

I have helped build a few door cars with four links and one dragster with a four link setup.

I am determined to make the 4x4 Hook , 4 tires should bite better than 2 IMOP , we just have to figure out how . But i am leaving my bars in the frame a bit just in case i decide to narrow the frame for some big rear meats .

Made some headway today , its a little scary hacking up the frame though  So far the total weight removed from the truck is 500 lbs( perminate ) , 4-link and bed brackets should put back on about 100-125 at the most i hope ( could be way off dont have it all to weigh yet ) 5400 lbs shouldnt be too hard to hit at this point .

Looks good so far Trent and very cute little girl. What is the weight difference between a crewcab and a single cab any idea? Do you plan on doing away with the rear doors on your crewcab? Also are you staying with an Allison?

Yep as Josh said my truck is an extended cab . I am sticking with the Alli untill i have a reason not to . But the weight difference I think is in the 800 lb range , and extended cab to reg cab i think is stock = 400-500 lbs + or - but stripped down i think its only 150-200 lbs .

Spaced that out, I knew your truck was an extended cab. Old age and too much track smoke.:D

just thinking out loud here...

would it have saved you any weight by just back halfing the truck with some 2x4 or 2x6 box tubing?

what do you have planned to run behind the axle to hold the bed?
