Good looking truck Russ. What size block do you have in the rear? 2 or 3"? I personally like the factory rake so I'd like to use a 3" or4" block in the rear. That said should I just use a 6" lift and just not crank up the bars too much?

Subd. I want to see some pics. I think a 6" is too big for my rclb.

Thought I read that the 6" kits only have 3/4'' more drop to them and the rest is made up by cranking. Not sure if the was brand specific or maybe not even true.
It's good to see some guys still like a lift on this site…seems like most are ditching them for a lighter weight to try to get more track speed.

I really dig the NTB drop kits but the Cognito base price is already about $500 more than the tuff country. Not sure which way I'll go.

If your shooting for 6", I would look into the 6-9" package and drop it down. The 4-6" package is a 4" package with upper control arms and keys to get the extra 2". You will ride better and CV's will be close to factory. Plus with the 6-9" you don't need the UCA's or keys unless your wanting max lift.

Noob to posting here but long time forum lurker.
My input into this discussion is this question: If the overall goal when installing a 4" lift kit is flat CV angles and not actual overall lift of the truck what is the way to accomplish this lift while maintaining the feel of the drive when the "lift" from a 4 full rotation of the stock key torsion bar adjustment bolt (should be 1" feels just a bit too soft? I liked the way my truck rode with Kryptonite UCA's, Shock extenders, the Z71 bumpstops way better at 5 turns of the torsion bolt, (should be 1&1/4" but the alignment guy, (granted firestone kid who thought caster was unchangeable on these trucks...I was about to get into explaining how the brackets adjust both camber and caster but the manager offered my $ back so I shut up) whatever, free is good for now but come summer/bigger tires, my mind wanders towards lift kit)
So is the answer a stiffer torsion bar? I really prefer the way the truck responds to steering input with a tad more crank but I get if you wanna go fast from stopped the t bars need to be unloaded...I just don't like the Caddy feel.

Cognito UCA allows for correct ball joint angle when leveled (+28% travel over a factory style arm). Other manufactures just have fancy stock replacements that do not correct this issue ;) .

Eddie- sounds like you would like the (correct lenght) Fox shocks, they will give you the ride your after. The Bilstein are just a lil stiffer than factory, but softer than Fox.
