3 to 4 stutter on built tranny

I have an 05 lly with a built tranny with sumcoast stage 5 and 1058 converter

Was doing some tests last night on the street.
At wot the 3 to 4 shifts weird and stutters, only does it on wot that i could tell, any ideas??

Haent tried on the stock tune, just on 100 hp and 150, has moonshine efilive. Do you think i need a trams tune?

Shouldn't need a trans tune. He's probably trying to gauge whether the trans is taking a shart.

How long has that trans been in the truck?

What are the specs on the build?

Have you logged rail pressure during the "stutter"?

I highly doubt it's tuning related if it's moonshine tuning.

Is the torque converter locking at the top of third and then shifting?

Is it like a "double shift"? If it is it most likely is a tie up..and is probably the way the c2 is setup.

Just re read the thread saw it was in for a year...in that case I bet there is wear on the c2 clutches

I ll have to ask the builder to see exactly what its got.
I know its a suncoast stage 5 kit with mike L springs and a 1058 converter,

Its like a double shift, almost like the tranny shifts the the torque converter locks. Anyone else had this issue at wot

I ve got the same setup built trans/1058/ stock injectors and mines got a very similar feeling when it shifts from 3rd to 4th while the converter is locking right at the top of third. It ll also bark the tires once lockup occurs in certain situations.

Yeah I rarely notice it anymore since I ve been using Ben's box. I just assumed it's the nature of the beast in this converter and never really worried about it.

When I was running a 1058 with a single 76 it would shift into 5th. Converter would lock and drop rpms causing it to down shift. Got trans tuning that bumped up shift points a little and never had anymore issues.
