24.25 mpg

385.4 miles divided by 15.892 gallons of fuel gives me 24.25 mpgs. 90% or so was highway going 65-70 depending on the highway. Also was the driver for hitting the bars for two nights and drove through a couple small towns. Who says a 7000lb truck cant be economical. It makes me smile. Just thought i would share

I don't get why the LLYs plus cant get milage like the lb7s. The only difference I could think of is the turbo and egr. I have my egr disabled on my efilive tune and ive tried lowering my boost a lot and did not notice a difference?

Thanks everyone. Im gonna go for a record setter. Im gonna take the same trip at the end of october or so. Mess with the tune a little bit and slow down a couple mphs. I figure i wont be winning a dyno event so maybe ill kick everyones behind in a mileage event.... I dont see why 26-27 isnt out of the question

i think to be perfectly fair you should take whatever route but then take the exact same route back to where you began...that will cancel out and windage or elevation effects on the mileage...


only saying it becuase i get much better mileage on my home from the mountians then i do on the way there

When I did my last trip from Edmonton AB. to Windsor Ont. I changed tunes every fill up Best I saw with hand cal. was 27.8 MPG that was in Saskatchewan and with low boost at cruse set at 115km/h.
