IMO, as someone on the outside, you can't vote for any of the clowns you guys have running for the presidency/re-election and love america.

I think Obama came into the presidency and walked into a shitstorm mess left from the donkey that was running the country before him. Not much he really could have done different. But his proposed changes and views he has to try and impose change are a little far fetched and un-realistic or really morally sane.
He did get Osama though!:thumb:
I'd put in a vote of non-confidence and find better candidates to run if I were you guys.

Wont happen

You'll never see a write in or Independent President the Dem and Rep parties have to many followers. In saying that they did say that we'd never see a Black President either! :D

But I still say we wont.

Every President comes in claiming he was handed a shit pile. Thing is Obama was the leader of change the leader of bipartisan and going to get something done? He was suppose to comprise ,actually all of our elected leaders are suppose to compromise and clean up this mess but they NEVER DO even tho it's their job. So each one of them are part of the problem. They never find the middle ground. Thats what a independent Pres would be stuck with !

As far as Obama getting Osama What could he have done different then any other standing pres to accelerate the killing of Osama?

Has anyone picked up that book written by that Navy Seal on Osamas capture?

I think no president should be eligible for a second term. As soon as a candidate has won presidency, they are worried about getting re elected for a second term. So their whole first term is spent thinking of ways they can make themselves look good to the majority of the people. If we dropped the second term bullshit, I feel like the lies and empty promises would go away too. Leaving the president to do what they were elected to do, run a country, not try to become more popular.

I don't understand all the hate for Romney. Don't we all want to get rich? Have you ever been employed by a poor person? How long did that last? If Romney lives his religion, he then has to pay 10% on all his earnings minimum. Look up what the mormons do with the tithing they bring in and tell me that he is stepping on poor people to get to the top.

Ya, I tithe too. Not to the Mormon church, but to my own, which Orthodox Presbyterian. There is a huge difference between my tithe and his tithe. We both freely and joyfully give our tithe, knowing it will be put to good use. However, my charity is given out of sacrifice. Does anyone believe his "charitable" giving is a sacrifice? When Bill Gates gave most of his wealth away, that didn't even come close to being sacrificial, and it was much more than 10%. However, good for him! :)

People forget that our economy is driven by small business. They also forget how Obama's policies and "change" effect small business the same way it affects large corporate companies, however our small business' cant afford these taxes like the corporations can. So all thats left to do is lay off employees. Unemployment goes up. Then, those that are now collecting unemployment learn that they are making more sitting on the couch then they were making working 30+ hour weeks. Now he has ditched all ideas of finding another job because he has learned how easy it is to work the unemployment system.

Money that a company saves from lowered taxes would go directly towards employing more people! Why you ask? Because the people that own that company know that the sky is the limit, they want growth, prosperity, wealth, freedom.

Correct!:thumb:

As another outsider watching, one of the biggest problems I see in US politics is the enormous amount of money people are allowed to make as campaign contributions. If every politician is someones whore nothing will ever change.

Its Politics there will always be Lieing and cheating but if you have someone in office that is doing a great job and getting shit done thats why there is a second term.

The way I see it, 10% is 10% whether its 10% of a dime or 10% of a dollar. An Associated Press estimate of Romney's tax returns shows that the Romney's have donated $4.3 million to the Mormon Church out of a total of $5.9 million in donations. The Romney's made $21.7 million in 2010 and the same in 2011, that's alot more than 10%. He sacrificed his own time when he was a mormon bishop. I know what it means to have that calling, as I am a mormon. It is one of the most time consuming things a mormon can do, and it requires alot of worrying about other people to be a bishop. I guess all I'm getting at is that if he lives his religion, I think he will make for a great president because he will be honest and fair. I don't get why someone doesn't want a well off person for pres? It tells me that he knows how to aquire and keep wealth. Why wouldn't he use those fundementals to aquire weath for america? IMO, It's time to have a "Nation Under God" again.

I understand your point, and also god bless your daughter, but you are the minority and not the majority, because unlike the "majority", you feel ashamed to ask for help, and In your case you actually needed it. There were systems that we had before obama's healthcare bill that were made for circumstances like yours, but they were harder to use and abuse. There are too many loopholes that obama has made that allow the "majority" to take advantage of the system, and they will take it, because of the feeling of self entitilement.

I understand completely what you are saying here, and I do agree that some could take advantage of this new system. IMO many more took advantage of the old, especially illegal immigrants. You are also correct in regards to the other system. We were able to be covered under Medicaid for most of my daughter's situation. However, the moment she was released from the hospital we lost any ablility to be covered under that system because, to the state, I made too much money. So, we had to go under another type of insurance, which really is no insurance at all because of the extremely high copay and deductible: the state Insurance pool. State insurance pool is another socialized instrument to provide assistance; however, given my wages (which were at the time about $75,000/year) I still couldn't afford her medical necessities. I came a moment away from selling both of our vehicles and would have done so with no light at the end of the tunnel. In my opinion, insurance at any level is a necessary evil in the medical system we have in our country. If I were wealthy, like most of our politicians, I wouldn't have to worry about any of it, but I'm not wealthy and I do worry about it at times, but worry less often now than I did before the current healthcare bill. To be honest, if everything except preexisting condition and maximum lifetime were scrapped it wouldn't effect me much and I wouldn't care what they did to resolve the problems surrounding any other issues.

We will have to agree to disagree then because if a person who only has $1 and he gives a dime he only has $.90 left, having much less to work with. Common sense shows that if a person earns less its more difficult to donate because his wages are the means by which he puts fuel in his car to get to work so he can do it again the following week. A person who is independently wealthy donate even 25% is effected less because he has more coin to work with and is less dependent upon the next market share, dividend, or contribution. The CEO of the company that I now work for received a $15,000,000 bonus this past year while he wanted to cut wages for the employees in Joliet, Illinois because of what he called "fair market equivalent wages" (and Romney has the same attitude). With no overtime wages included, he could have payed the equivalent of my wages to 200-250 workers for a full year. That's the difference in giving 10% of what I make and give, as opposed to what he makes and gives.

Obama didnt get Osama Bin Laden.

The Navy Seals did.

Obama just happened to be president at the time. Doesn't matter who was president at that time. People will say President (insert name here) got him! Nevermind the years of intel work that was done prior. I do not believe that it was the president that got the terriorist or mastermind or whatever you want to call him. It was our military. More inparticular, the Navy Seals.

I honestly respect your heart felt opinion and God Bless your daughter. Your right no policy is perfect nor is the man or women that wrote it. You bring up some valid points, But for me Obama's policies especially long term and his socialist agendas raises great concern on our future.

X2
My youngest daughter has a neurological disorder called Rett Syndrome, as i am thrilled(seriously) dordtech5 that some good has come from obamacare for you(and GOD bless your sweet girl) there is much much more to obama's presidency than health care. Our family has struggled even more with medical bills since then, but medicine is cheaper.

Whose the guy who has the sig line of "politicians campaign against problems they in turn create" ?

That pretty much sums up my feelings on it, why bother voting when its just gonna result in 4 years of GOP fools saying we are headed to socialism, or 4 years of democrat fools saying we need to tax the rich more. All the same crooks, all the same issues.

:shrugs:

I was happy to see Ron Paul actually make pretty great coverage this election year, hopefully his ideals spread some between now and the next election.

This is somewhat true, but in my experience only true to the extent that people that abuse the system do it because of their own sense of entitlement.

I would like to correct one part: unemployment has gone down, not up, steadily since he's been in office.

Well i dont have any stats to back this up, but the current unemployment system requires that you take ANY JOB THATS OFFERED TO YOU, reguardless of field of work. I would like to point out i have been seeing less and less youngsters workin at mcdonalds and more and more adults, not to mention grocery srore baggers, bus boys, dishwashers, and laborers in general have seemed to gotten older than they used to be.... is this what we should be grateful for?

More people quit looking for a job and are not being counted by obama. The true unemployment number is between 10 and 15%.

Either way we are screwed. The evil we know or the evil we do not know of yet.

The only think I know is that my employer had a pretty big lay off at the end of 2008 and we have hired many full time employees and contractors, temps, ever since 2010. The work flow has increased and continues to grow.

We will never agree with what the president is doing all the time. Also do not forget that he is the face of the people and more importantly the congress.

I know that I was gonna say the same thing if I received a response. Problem is there is **** tards out there that believe or think he did especially when you have blow hards like Biden running his direaha mouth.

Also politicians filthy rich or not have the best medical insurance for life that can be had so they have nothing to worry about!

Unemployment numbers are bullshit! What about the people who have ran out of benefits? They have disappeared. Also the MAJORITY of the hiring has NOT BEEN IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR! But by our government and that cost the general public a lot of money for a very long time. That and you can never get rid of them.

No, not at all. The paradox to the predicament is what most people bitch about though, socialism. Should they stay on unemployment and deplete the system or take a temp job? It would be humiliating to be sure, but I'd do the same thing by taking a temp job. We homeschool and my wife doesn't earn wages, so I would be left without a choice. I am quite blessed though because I a member of two unions: the current one of which I'm employed, United Steelworkers; and, Ironworkers, through the building trades. As bad as its gotten, I've only been laid off with no work at all for 3 weeks in the past 20 years. However, I've had To travel many miles providing for my family.
