before everyone gets a hardon for what it might have under the hood, calm down. :)

The chassis and powertrain is carryover from 2011-2014 HD trucks. Its basically the same old frame and same old 397hp LML, with a new body plopped on top.

That being said. I think the new HD bodies are beautiful, both the chevy and GMC

When I first saw the new chevy half tons I thought "meh not a fan...but im sure it will grow on me". But I instantly loved the chevy HD's when I just saw them for the first time a couple minutes ago. :thumb:

I need to start talking to my father about getting me a new shop truck. A victory red Z71 or LTZ would be nice!

Exactly how I felt. GM did a great job in styling this time around.

Cue everyone complaining about the redesign and saying how they will keep their 02, only to be saying how much they like the body style once they are out for a month.

I'm with you Ben. IMHO, the new 1/2 tons just don't look good, I really like the new HD though, from the first picture I saw of the HD's in both chevy and gmc. Which is odd, I usually only like one or the other. Damn it all, now I actually like the new stuff, it made it a whole lot easier to mod my truck when the "new" stuff looked so terrible....

Ben any word on future powerplant changes? I know you said 2015 is LML just didn't know if there were any major changes headed our way in the next few years.

i want one!! i really like the headlights on the gmc. I think it might be time to get rid of the pulling truck and trade in the 11 lml for one of these when they come out.

I think 2016 is when the next round of EPA emissions changes comes about. But beyond that I dont really know.

So within the next 2 years we will see an "all new duramax" (as in, something that no longer shares any 6.6 Isuzu heritage), and most likely an all new Allison to go along with it.

Makes me think this '15 will be a good choice. LML is a proven platform and I'd hate to buy the first year of a new motor. Time to start pinching my pennies.
