Here a few quick shots of this weekend's progress- sorry for the crappy Snapchat shot, it's all I have handy. Has been a hell of a push the last few days!

It goes without saying that I really can't overstate the amount of help I've gotten from @036.6turbo and how grateful I am for it- I simply couldn't have done it otherwise! Especially not to this caliber, I am really ecstatic with how it has turned out so far.

So I am a little slow...is the 17+ hood a direct swap?!

Yes it is, both our trucks are LML, both have L5P hoods on them. Bolt on, no issues.

Now getting the cold air actually functional, that's a different story. Many different ways to do it.

The L5P duct work will basically just blow the cold intake on top of the Wehrli fab intake. At least that's the case with ours.

Truck is done. Son is driving it. I was REALLY surprised how much better his runs than mine. So guess what's next?

Left rear axle seal started leaking right as soon as he put some miles on it, so that's coming back apart tomorrow.

Here's a couple pictures before we put the hood on, things got real busy after that, so completed pics will have to wait.

That's one pretty GMC. :) Make sure the axle vent isn't kinked or drooping excessively.

It was my pleasure. I'm kind of sad it's done. I miss working on it with you. Thanks for the help getting mine CP3ed and deleted!

Nice job!

a 17+ hood on a 15.5 eh? :D:rockon:

Yes, when you have to replace the hood anyway, may as well go with the L5P.

We did that and on both our trucks.

Both have WCFab cold air bundles. Next will be to fab up a airbox to take advantage of the L5P intake.
