Arrived in Maine!

Make sure you take 295 North in Maine. Saves $$$ on tolls and it's quicker. It'll spit you back onto I-95 in Gardiner. Then follow I-95N all the way to Hogan road in Bangor, I believe exit 183. If you need to stop to get fuel, exit 157 is Newport, there are several food/fuel stations. That's my hometown. Any questions about Navigating Maine, let me know!

Thanks for the info, I mappped it that way. Was quicker than 95.

I am here at Super 8, any good Resturants close by? Sea Food?

Are you attending this class?

On another note:
I posted a week or so ago about my Turbo issues and that I rebuilt it with a New Billet Wheel, Well let me tell you this thing works great!:thumb:
Boost was higher than before when cruising and my MPG has gone UP.
Have not done a Full tank on this rebuilt turbo yet but when I filled up here in Maine my MPG went up from 13.4 on the last fill up to 16.7 on this fillup and I have about 150 miles on this tank and it reads 7/8 full still, would have been under 3/4 by now. I will know better on ride back to NJ.

Later...:beer

I won't be in the class, unfortunately I had to rebuild my transmission sooner then expected. All my funds went to that instead. Sucks, I've been looking forward to this class since last year. Oh well. As far as restaurants go, there are a bunch off Stillwater, Buffalo Wild Wings, Ruby Tuesdays at the mall, Olive Garden, Apple Bees, Five Guys, Sweet Frog, Texas Roadhouse, outback I'm pretty sure as well.

Well, glad to say I made it with no speeding tickets, knock on wood. We just got here. Busting through a few emails of people I couldn't get to today on the flight and drive here from Boston then calling it a night.... gotta get up bright and early (my time) and try to fake myself into going to bed 2 hours earlier than usual :)

See you guys tomorrow, and we'll definitely figure out some kind of watering hole to meet up at tomorrow night.

Yup. The airport though was tiny, no good flight options, and no rental cars :) Woulda loved to fly into that one but for an extra $500+ a ticket, and then no rental car facility, we chose to drive. Still not sure this was the right choice, but it's all said and done now...... I know I won't voluntarily come to the east coast and drive from Boston to ANYWHERE again though :thumb: Roads are just crazy there...

Well, a round about with 7 exits and about 10 stop lights surrounding it and going through the middle of it where people ignore the signs and traffic lights both is hardly something I'd call "good". There was only one really nasty one like that but a couple others that weren't much improved. Kinda reminds me of YouTube videos I've seen of city traffic in India where there are no lights but thousands of cars going every which way. Winter hasn't been nice to Boston's roads either... Pretty rough on the main toads we were on. Amy wouldn't drive on any of it. I was wishing I was in my truck instead of the rental car.... Then it coulda been a bit more fun :)

EFILive Diesel Training guides

Just to let everyone know - the EFILive Training guides are finally back in stock and are going to start shipping Friday/Monday. There are a lot of people that have been asking over the past couple of months about the books and due to the local printer we were using to have them made going out of business, I barely had enough to get us through the training classes I had scheduled.

Anyhow - we've emailed those people that we had contact information for, and now I'm posting it publicly that we have them coming and will be shipping them soon! Took a while to get things lined up, so thank you for your patience!

You can order them directly from our website. We were able to keep the prices the same as they've always been - so happy reading!

Complete Training guides can be found HERE!

Have you booked or started working on a class sometime in the near future? I know you guys get busy for pulling season but I really would like to take your class since I am more free than I have been in the past.

Working on one for Ohio in July..... that's the only thing really on the radar and with as busy as pulling/racing season is for me (summer in general) - it'll probably be fall before I have many more... I want to do some camping trips with the family this year and get the quads out and get the kids on the sand. Didn't do it once last year I was so busy so this year, we're gonna have some family weekends instead of working through them all :) There will be more classes coming during the year, but right now for the summer months (now til end of August) - only looking at the one class in Ohio and still a possibility of one up in Washington but I just haven't gained any traction on that one.....

I'll keep the thread updated. For now, I only have the books to offer 'for sure', but don't be afraid to email or post about the classes. Sometimes I need a kick in a$$ to get moving on certain things - I just have too many open tasks on my plate at the moment. Seems the season is in full swing!!

**updates!!**

Ok everyone... the Washington class is a go, however we have not set the firm date yet. It will either be the weekend after Labor Day (September 6-7) or it will be the last weekend of September (Sept 27-28)...

For those of you that wanted this class - I'm asking for some help in picking the date. The shop owner - DJ of DK Diesel in Bellingham has given me a green light for those weekends barring any events (pulls, diesel drags, dynos, etc.) that might be happening at that point in time. I don't know the events calendar of local events over your direction for those that are considering this class.

Right now, I'm leaning towards the last weekend of the month, BUT if there's something going on then I definitely am not trying to conflict with events in or around the Washington state area - so PLEASE let me know. Right now I'm tentatively planning on it being the last weekend of September unless there is a good reason to have it the first weekend.

Let me know your thoughts! Still ironing out details for Ohio class which will also likely be in September or worst case October.

Thanks!

It's on! Bellingham Washington EFILive training

I'm debating on starting a new thread or keeping everything combined here - but the class in Bellingham, Washington is on for sure. Class dates are September 27-28th. Start time will be 10 AM each day (subject to change). This is the only confirmed class I have currently. There are 20 seats, 2 are already sold.

This class will follow the same format as the previous classes:
Day 1: the basics. Tuning a stock Duramax and a stock Cummins together and then testing on the dyno.
Day 2: Advanced topics. Getting into more details and differences between model years/generations of trucks. Testing 1-2 highly modified trucks on the dyno, data logging and more!

You can read the very first posts of this thread for a little more detail.

This class has had a lot of interest, which is why I'm returning to Bellingham for both Canadian and U.S. based customers.

To sign up, here is the link to our website: Washington EFILive Training Class

Lima, Ohio EFILive Training

For the 2nd time this year, we will be returning to Lima, OH. The class dates will be October 18-19th and will follow the same outline as the classes this year.

Sign ups are not available online yet as we are working out a couple of details with UNOH - the University where this training session will take place - however, we anticipate being able to take sign ups by late next week.

Any questions let us know!
