I just got to the hotel in Ohio for the class here... trying to catch up on work and forums and.... well, you know the story.

I think Holiday Inn sounds good. I haven't got my flights yet, still figuring out if Amy is coming with me or not for that trip so i'll plan on making the Holiday Inn where we stay.

As for the other classes real quick - Wisconsin has 5 seats left now, and Maine has plenty of room left. It's as far north and east as I'm going to get guys - so those of you from across the border.... these two are it!

3 days til Wisconsin guys - after that, only Maine! Plenty of room left in Maine class. Also - to those of you signed up for Wisconsin class, you should have received an email from me Sunday night about the class, location, etc... Please let me know if you didn't!

for the bangor guys.. it looks like the Holiday Inn is the closest to where the class is and its about 110/night. there is a small bar/restaurant in it. the hollywood casino isnt too far but its looking like about 170/night. a little further up the road theres Ramada for 95/night and some "dumps" like super 8 and howard johnson for cheaper and theres a Ground Round bar/restaurant up that way.. im leaning toward Holiday Inn myself (close with bar) but what do you guys think? lets get something together so we can hang out, maybe get a better deal at the hotel if we all get rooms

Is this the final decision?

Can I get an address and a phone number please?

After some research I Booked at the Super 8, 2 doors down from Holiday Inn as they are a member of Wyndham Owners group and also give AAA members a discount so I booked my room for $45.90 per night! Not $120 Holiday Inn wanted! Total both nights less than $100...
Reviews were about the same so what was worth more than 2x the cost?

Bangor class is only a couple weeks away - so just bumping the thread to let people know there are spots left, and it'll be my last time in the northeast for at least 1 year - probably longer so if you're on the fence, just letting you know this class is going to be the most time/work of any I've put on so it's not likely i'll be back anytime soon.

I am leaving Friday morning as it is 8 1/2 hour drive.
I believe you stated classes are 8+ hours each on Sat and Sunday so I will be staying over Sunday night and leaving Monday to head back to NJ.
Any one else heading up from NJ, PA?
Carpool or Truck Convoy???:thumb:

Our flight lands in Boston about 4:15 then driving from there So it'll be bed time I think by the time we get there... but we'll still see you guys Saturday morning! Everyone should have received the email by now with start times, address, software to install etc. See you all really soon!

Make sure you take 295 North in Maine. Saves $$$ on tolls and it's quicker. It'll spit you back onto I-95 in Gardiner. Then follow I-95N all the way to Hogan road in Bangor, I believe exit 183. If you need to stop to get fuel, exit 157 is Newport, there are several food/fuel stations. That's my hometown. Any questions about Navigating Maine, let me know!
