Not many details, but Edmunds says 390HP.

I would have thought they would have went for >403HP so the diesel premium pricetag got you the most powerful engine in the GM lineup, but I guessed wrong.

I dunno if I would believe those specs...they also say the fuel tank is 26 gallons...which is wrong.

Like a 12.99, 400HP is 100HP more than 399HP. I'd like to see them hit the magic 400.

One handicap GM has, is that they rate their engines under the new SAE spec which yields lower numbers. Which is why advertised HP is a crock of shinola ...

Not yet, I don't think, but I think everyone will be going to that standard before too long.

The fuel mileage stat seems too good to be true. HP wise, we are jaded, think about how fast 100+hp was when the first LB7 tuners came out. I'm mostly interested to see if the new turbo is much bigger or has the capacity to put out 600ish.

I was told yesterday by a guy that ford is coming out with their own ford made diesel engine that is supposed to be making like 600hp, has anyone else heard this? I've looked online but can't find anything, i'd never own another ford, but i sure don't want one passing me either lol

well like i said, i was "told" by this guy, he's not necissarilly the brightest but his dmax is freakin sweet, which is why it peaked my curiosity when he told me this because he was thinking about trading for a new ford and he's a die hard chevy man

I hope it has the 650 675 on it. Otherwise I doubt it will compete with the 6.7 Ford.

390hp sounds right. The last power run and blowby test i ran on the lml, the #s were: 391 hp and 75x ft lb tq
