Looks like I'm a little late to give advice here, but it looks like everything is pretty much covered already. For tire pressure, I would recommend about 30 front and 25 rear. I don't clamp my springs, but it shouldn't hurt if you do. I'm just too lazy is all. I've been meaning to do a comparison between clamped and unclamped to see how my 60' times change. I guess it'll have to wait until the truck is back together. I lower my torsion bars until the CV axles are pointing up slightly (my truck seems to sit lower than most so I still have quite a bit of adjustment in my bolts, but some people have to lower theirs all the way to get their truck to sit like mine). I leave at about 2100 RPM with about 15 psi of boost. I run stock PYO wheels with a set of worn 265 A/Ts and cut mid-high 1.6 60' times.

I think maybe you smoked the lights. There's no way you cut a 1.4x 60' with your mods.

I ran 35psi in my front tires and 30 in my rears. Left somewhere around 13-15lb's of boost. As far as smoking the lights, do you mean redlighting? If so I was not aware I did. Would it tell you on your slip?

That looks right for your mods. I'd bet you would dyno right at about 500HP. Where are you located and what temp is it outside when you are running? You may pick up a bit with some weather changes.

EFI may be able to help with the right tuning. Smaller wheels/tires may also help (less rotating mass).

By smoking the lights I mean you put out so much smoke when you left the beam couldn't see when you actually left. Leaving at 1300 to 1500 I would be surprised if you actually got better than a 2.0x 60'. You need to leave a lot harder than that.

My bad I meant 13-15lbs of boost not RPM's.

Upstate N.Y, the temp was around 70deg last night. I do have some 245's sitting around I could through on the stock wheeels. I will be ordering EFI at some point in the near future but I really wanted to see what my PPE could do first for a basis for future comparison's. Thanks for all the help guy's!! :beer

Get the truck in 12's with your everyday driving style. Mine runs what she runs the way she sits out in my yard. The way i look at it is a 12 second vette wants to race u then u dont wanna say let me go home and strip my truck. I want to be able to say lets go do it without a problem. Do a couple more launches drop your torsion bars so she dont hop as bad coming off the line pull out passanger head light and let her eat. Your best time with the ppe and stock cp3 will be 13.5's all day long. We couldnt get it no faster no matter what mods we did

I've ran 30-40 passes in the 12.7et area with the PPE on 350, since I've had the trans built. The best I could manage before the trans was a 13.2. My best time of 12.71 was done with EFI & Idaho Rob's race tune. Im hoping to see a new best tomorrow;)

You can get the truck in the 12's w/ the PPE. Just need more adjustments and seat time. Keep playing w/ your Launch rpm/boost, tire pressures, etc... You will get it.
