Well tonight was a bit disapointing. For starters I have never run a vehicle down a legitemet 1/4 mile and I am sure a good amount of the slow time is a result of that. 13.9 was actually my best out of 3 runs:( first 2 were 14.5's. I was so busy watching the lights, I was not getting my boost up in time. Then right before my 3rd run a guy running a cummins told me not to worry about the lights the time does not start untill you cross em. Ok, so I take my time and get the boost up and let her rip but then it starts bouncing the truck across the track:eek: I briefly considered getting out of it and then decided the hell with it if it breaks it breaks. Heres the clip and the time slip I am hoping you guys can shoot me some pointers and hopefully get this thing in the low 13's or better with the PPE.http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/...tom8726/?action=view&current=dragstripvid.flv

How much boost did you leave the line with on the run it was hopping?

I really don't know exactly, It was a bit overwhelming to say the least. The guys there were rushing everyone through so fast. I just stood on the brakes hard and roled into it untill it started to over power the brakes. To much boost or improper set-up? sorry for the vague explanation.

If you were pushing the brakes I would say thats way to much. Not saying it will work for you becuase I have headers and they really change the way the turbo spools but #8 is the magic number for me. #10 makes her hop. Spring clamps and bars help a lot too

I really thought from what I have read the truck would be in the low 13's or even a high 12? Is that feasable with whats in my sig or am I expecting to much?

You just need more seat time. depending on the altitude of the track you should be easily in the bottom 13's. Did you drop your torsions down? what size tires and what was the psi in them?

Did not drop the torsions, even though I knew better, tires are the one's in my sig, 285-65-18's, 65lbs all the way around. I am going to give it another shot next wednesday. My plan is lose the extra 400 or more pounds floating around my truck, lose the p-side head light, change my fuel filter'S (2), Put my stock wheels with 285-75-16's back on, lower my T-Bars, and clamp my springs. What should I boost too? How much air pressure? 1 or 2 clamps? T/H or not? Burn out? Thanks in advance!!

Sound like you have a better idea, I am no expert by any means, but pulling my pass. headlight, and dropping my spare tire, tailgate and snug lid dropped my ET's by 2 tenths and added a MPH or two. Also, no burn outs needed nor recomended for the allison, 4wd will do the job just fine.

On edit, I usually launch at around 15PSI or 2k rpm's

Drop the T-bars down all the way, leave at 12-14 pds of boost, and don't do a burn out. You will probably have to try leaving at different boosts to see what works best for you.

you need 2 clamps for your springs one for each side, and just clamp the fronts of the springs. Launch as hard as your truck will let you without hopping or bouncing. You just need some more time out there to see what your truck likes, some run quicker in t/h than normal and vise versa. depending on which tires you run and there weight rating I would go to around 35 psi, but on some that maybe too low and they might fold a little which causes you to actually loose traction rather then gain.

If your torsion bars are not cranked I dont think you have to drop them.
Try to leave the line at 1800rpm.
try your fronts at 48psi and the rears at 41psi.
Your mph seems really low, have you dynoed your truck before. I think your not making the power your supposed to.
You need to be at 101mph to be low 13's. 103mph for possible high 12's

No on the dyno, but I have 12k on the fuel filters (2) So that could be apart of the problem.

400 pounds out of your truck should drop your ET about 4/10 of a second...

Change filter
Tire PSI less then 40lb, keep lowering until they hook.
Clamp front and rear
10lb boosted launch

Stage the truck on the first light and start building boost. Wait for your opnent to stage first light before you light both yellows. It will allow you to get ready.
