That "special" Converter is working just fine in my race truck
You call that a race truck
That "special" Converter is working just fine in my race truck
I agree with Nick on high stall converters it is needed!
Just reading this thread reminds me why custom tuning is so important!
Waiting for the 11 sec thread from ya Nick!:cool2:
My lly would give him a run I just don't cause I don't want to embaress him:happy2:You call that a race truck
It's going to happen one way or another... BTW My trucks rail seems to be greatly effected by RPM, lower RPM means better rail
My lly would give him a run I just don't cause I don't want to embaress him:happy2:
Fack what am I saying..... Lb7s rock!!
LOL its pretty obvious LLY's are the strongest runners... Just look at me I can swap turbos and run the same exact numbers  i'd say my truck is a bracket racer... doesn't matter the weight, turbo setup, torque converter, tune, or hell even driver it just wants to run 12.1's from 113-116mph HA
true lb7 where built for serious hp and speed and left the rest for brackets
nope on the contrary i wanted the converter i got the "special converter" you bashed for no apparent reason other than what you "heard" Mike wanted to install the normal 2000 rpm stall ML converter i had to talk him out of it, saying i needed more RPM on the line. You dislike loose converters fine, Ken went with the aforementioned 1054 converter and it SUCKED!. For a stock turbo truck im sure its a great converter as are most Suncoasts but if i tried to spool an S475 with a 1900 RPM stall converter i'd be up shits creek as that is not the combination that would work for my truck. Do me a favor please box up all of that material and ship it too me i'll pay shipping it has been sitting there doing nothing for quite a long time.... 400$ of tubing that i cannot use, or you can keep it and send me 200$ and i'll call it a wash.

As you gain more horse those tire will suck! You might want to look at something taller
Henry if your hitting 6th by the 1/8 mile something ain't right! Check again
Let's clear up a few facts that YOU seem to confuse yourself with. First one being that you have no idea of how Ken's truck progressed so don't get on here spewing comments like you know that you did. Second, the converter was chosen based on the set up that was going in the truck and that was a set of stock twins. Third, the truck 60ft just as good after going to the set up he has on there now, just that the trans had other issues and they decided to swap. Fourth, stop refering to others trucks that you have no credible info on....if I were to do that about you and your truck, I can comment on almost every person in here who has supported you and reiterate a comment that would be totally opposite of all the good info you seem to think you are getting. Call Ken and talk to him about the converter and then call Rob if you want the real results. The setup on his truck is a far cry from being as laggy as a 475 and will spool with a stock IHI with the proper tuning.
It also seems kind of funy how you always seem to think you know so much about me or things I am affiliated with. I know you get your info from Mike and that is fine on most points. I learned years ago that running your mouth doesn't pay, you just haven't yet. On the other side of things, you have a lot of negative comments to make about people who are affiliated with this board, but you don't do that publically. Now here you are making comments toward Russ.....wonder what brought about that? The comment Mike made towards Russ was more about a personal problem they had, it doesn't have anything to do with you or either one of their worth ethics, so it doesn't need to be here either. If that was about a trans problem he had or something to do with the motor, it would have never been mentioned. Most people are here to help or get help and then there are some that you can't help....what exactly is your purpose?
If you have something you want to know, my number is posted all over the place. I'm not going to try to compete at your level and make silly comments on a forum.....
Last I heard he changed the battery and it was running, and just had a leak on the big turbo fitting :coolspot:.
Lets clear this up as this is definitely NOT the case - I continued to find evidence of your HORRIBLE work such as a negative battery cable completely severed and in a wire loom under the engine. I couldnt take it anymore and its sat. The truck will not start and that is 100% due to your shoddy work. You welded up pipes and did a good job. You made a set of twins that may or may not work, you are in no way shape or form a truck builder who should have been trusted with my $100k truck and have free reign while not communicating or doing what was agreed upon.
You should not be in business - customer beware.
Let's see who comes to Russ's recue this time. I would imagine the phone call has been made.
