Im gonna rip out the WD pump have Shane rebuild it, then go with a Stock LMM pump maybe add a WD regulator just to keep tuning easier

Right there. All his other MPHs were high before he ran an 11 second pass. He stated that it wasnt his converter in his 12.1 at 116 or whatever thread and disagreed about converter lockup.

I am not convinced the MPH drop has anything to do with lock up changes other than the standard 1-2 mph drop from ET improving. Your post suggested that the lock up change got him an 11 and it wasn't the case . My truck has never once locked in second gear , more like top of 3rd when I was at the same power level , managed a 7.3 in the 1/8 mile single CP3 fuel only , I am not convinced lock up in 2nd is mandatory to get good ET at least it never stopped me.
I dont see how you can get more mph with a slip
The only way TC slip can make MPH high is when ET is longer you have more time to achieve a higher MPH , in a since the better you ET is the track becomes "shorter" , at least in the since you have less time to achieve X mph .
