I am not convinced the MPH drop has anything to do with lock up changes other than the standard 1-2 mph drop from ET improving. Your post suggested that the lock up change got him an 11 and it wasn't the case . My truck has never once locked in second gear , more like top of 3rd when I was at the same power level , managed a 7.3 in the 1/8 mile single CP3 fuel only , I am not convinced lock up in 2nd is mandatory to get good ET at least it never stopped me.
The only way TC slip can make MPH high is when ET is longer you have more time to achieve a higher MPH , in a since the better you ET is the track becomes "shorter" , at least in the since you have less time to achieve X mph .
His post suggested that it got him an 11. It's not apples to apples when your comparing a truck with twins to a big single as far as what the converter is doing and or helping.
Jordan, I guess i just don't get what stake you have this ? And I guess I have no clue about the difference between X converter and X turbo setup and how it should 1/8 mile ? I post about it because I have been helping Nick for months , I know what he/we have tried . Maybe I am taking your posts the wrong way ?
