I can hold my 1058 until about 2700 rpm. Maybe you need new/better brakes.

Brake pads themselves are "newer". I've had a problem with the brakes feeling weak since I bought the truck. Pull up to a stop sign (bone stock tune) and you really have to push the brakes to get the truck to stop. Maybe my lines are swelling or the fluid is junk. Problem may be with the brakes good idea Josh.

Ok, you guys got me curious. Just went out and did this. 2200 before it started to push through the brakes on a 90 tune. My brake pedal was gargling and bubbling though. So wierd, is that normal?

Timing is retarded, may not be enough, but it is retarded a decent amount.

Nice! Guess I need to try and work on the tuning then.

Take log and see what kind of timing it's commanding. There are like 10 multipliers that can take it up to 10* more than what is in the box on the base timing map. A stock charger should get to 20psi with little effort. Change the PS fluid while you're at it. I have a 58 and it gets to 2400ish before walking the brakes.

I pulled my abs fuse and it helped big time! Just be easy in the brakes after you cross the finish line.

You must have some monster brakes, because there ain't no way I'm holding mine back to 2700.

Napa gold pads on all four corners, napa premium rotors on the rear and SSBC sloted rotors on the front, nothing to great! properly bleading the brake system helps a great deal. 265 /17" tires, 3.73 gears
