Although this is a lot more expensive than golf, at least so far it isn't nearly as frustrating.

Congrats Ken!
I think most have lost sight about how amazing it is to have a pure street truck with A/C, stock suspension, and stock interior, running on street tires go into the 10's at that weight and at that D/A on fuel. It's not easy. Congrats for sticking with it.
I agree but what is the point the truck takes a beating
I mean sure it's nice but it does cost alot rob I seen another truck that runs tens this weekend and still daily drives but he has brokon so many things that it doesn't seem right to me IMHO
if I was ken I would dial the truck back to a high 11 and when I had the need jump in maxed out
no offence ken your newtruck is awsome but fixing it gets old fast
Ken do you have any pictures of the truck?

Ken wanted a 10 second street truck, he has one. Up to him what he wants to do with it, I stated that it's amazing how the sport has advanced where people expect this.
Are you going to turn down your truck if you hit the 10's?
I started playing golf when I was about 14 and loved it. Played on the high school team then when into the Navy and didn't play it again till 1986. Wife's dad was a big time golfer and talked me into taking up the game again. Got totally hooked again and was as obsessed with golf as I am with these stupid diesels. In 1989 I was 45 and about 5 years away from retirement. I was getting pretty good at golf, an honest 9 handicap. I told my wife I wanted to see how good I could get and when I turned 50 who knows. I spent a ton of money on golf lessons by one of the big name instructors who teaches pros. I went down a good golfer came back a terrible golfer and it took me several years to get back to where I had been before I went and took all those lessons.

Rob and I were commenting on the way home how totally nonchalant we have all become with this stuff. When we first ran Max'd Out and it went 10.6 we went nuts, now when someone breaks into the 10 it hardly gets a notice. It's like big deal, another 10 sec truck. As Rob said I wanted a 10 sec street truck in street trim. Mind you I wouldn't want to tow my travel trailer with it, but certainly could be a commuter or grocery getter. My problem now is I want to push it and I know that is stupid because I'll break it if I do. If I can get it to survive at the current power level which is not maximum at all for the rest of this season then I'll back it way off and sell it. let the next guy blow it up if he wants. I'm addicted to this stuff and the only way I can operate is to go all in or get all the way out, so I'm out of it all together after this season. And going back to playing golf. In fact if someone wants White Out right now I'll sell it. I've got over 60k in it and will sell it for 40K if someone wants it. It's a beautiful truck.

That is a really good deal. If anyone is seriously considering building a truck like this, I don't see how they could pass it up.In fact if someone wants White Out right now I'll sell it. I've got over 60k in it and will sell it for 40K if someone wants it. It's a beautiful truck.
On a side note, sorry to hear you're getting out of the diesel game. Hopefully you aren't going to stop hanging out on the boards.
