I'd put Por15 on every part you can see underneath, and spray fluid film in the places you cant. Unless you're not keeping it very long, then just spray some undercoating on it.

I Think thats what I am going to do.

Should I replace anything while the bed is off, like fuel sending unit, not sure if it has a lift pump in the tank or if its just the sending unit?

No lift pump on these trucks, except on the 2017 L5P's and newer. Put in a lift pump while you have the bed off. Easier to get to the fuel connectors.
Is that a Grand National in your garage?

So the truck doesnt have a lift pump in the tank? but i should add one in the tank?

In the garage is a Buick regal T-type which is 1 trim level under a grand national, it has the same drivetrain of a grand national but it came in other colors and had chrome bumpers. i painted it myself, first and only thing i ever painted but now i have this trucj to paint lol. should be fun!

No, not in the tank. Look at the Kennedy pump set ups or Fass system. I originally had a TTS dual system but the pumps burned out and were a pain to change. This was due to me having a 52-gal Titan tank. They mounted on the fuel cooler bracket. Switched it to a Fass 95 and is mounted in the fender well by the filler hose.

I don’t know if you’re in salt country, but if you are don’t use the thick undercoating junk, it gets hard and cracks in a year or two and salt gets behind it and rots shit out and you’ll never know until it’s too late.

I found that the 3m undercoating is close to factory looking if applied real thin, I touch mine up with that and keep it oiled, have since the truck was new and I spent waaaayy less time keeping this up up than I did the LLY with a stripped and actual painted frame.

I have my local auto body shop spray 1 1/2 gal of Fluid Film under my truck and they drilled everything to shoot it in everywhere . You cant put the truck in the garage for about two weeks until it is done draining though ! It is real bad to do any work under the truck for about 6 months because you get it all over yourself ! One year , after it had been on for 11 months I took the truck to Evan for a tranny and afterwords he said , what is that crap my guys got all over themselves,so that can be problematic ! But it dose stop the rust !

Unless that stuff has changed that is what destroyed the frame on my ranger, once the oil dries out of it, it cracks and splits around the the holes in the frame and eats it out, I found out one night when I was jumping my truck behind our old Ames store when the frame let go. It looked brand new when I peeled all that junk off except for the first 2-4” around the frame holes and edges, it was in horrible shape and the truck was 6 years old at the time and well maintained before I had got it.

It is made out of sheep lanolin , we may need to converse this issue with the sheep expert on this site ! LOL! Your truck problem might have just been a ford thing , just kidding ! Fluid film is used by the US NAVY , come to think of it , now I am scared ! Time will tell I guess!

I don't see fluid film doing that. You cant "peel" it off, and it's transparent, you'd see the rust behind it if there was any.

There is a chance that the stuff that was used on your truck Rigger , was creosote based , which is a great wood preservative that can be highly corrosive when it comes in contact with metal ! So It was not the Fords fault after all ! LOL !

I was told POR15 can do that too because it becomes brittle and cracks which allows moisture under it and then it rots out even worse!

I planned to go with either Chassis Saver or Zero Rust, I'm on some autobody forums and I keep reading they hate POR15 because of what I just wrote. Just waiting on them to recommend one or the other for chassis saver or zero rust.
