I know a guy up here that has a 06 reg. cab lbz with a bad engine, 160000 on the truck. I have been after him to sell it to me and he finally said make an offer... Not sure what to offer him? Body is decent, normal scratches and dings nothing major though. He has beat on it pretty hard. I expect to have to rebuild most of the running gear. The engine oil filter is full of metal...

My plan is to build this into a street/race truck and stop beating on my CC. So my 3 year short block rebuild:eek: would go in this truck.

Thoughts on a fair price? Mind you I'm in Alaska and reg cab trucks such as this are a rare bird...

Not real sure, but that truck would bring $18k running in my area pretty easy...

If you could buy it for $10k-$12k that would be a pretty good deal in my opinion...

Id say thats a little high being a reg cab with a bad motor. pretty much whatever you feel is a good deal and worth it to you to pick it up. id starty at 7500 maybe.

I just bought a reg cab lbz in perfect running shape for $6500. If this thing is beat with a bad motor I'd be like $3-4k. Your prices seem ridiculous to me.

That would be sweet if you can score this truck!
Down here in the Seattle area, a beat down but running LBZ like that would probably go for about 14-16k...

Assuming the Transmission is good and all you replace is the engine, a dealership would charge $6500 for a reman (trust me I know!) and about $3600 to install...so roughly $10k.

Using that as a reference or bargaining chip, IMO that puts a fair price for this rig between 4-6k

Good luck man!

Now were talking about reasonable figures:thumb:

Yes but he doesn't want to sell super bad & I want the f-er pretty bad:D Just trying to keep it real as much as possible. I have never stumbled across something like this is why I was needing some input.

I'm thinking If he doesn't bite around the 4-7 range then F-it.

Clean 4x4 Reg cabs with under 150000 go for around 17-19000 around here. Especially if they are not white. They seem to bring more then extended cabs

That's what I bought it for, that's NOT what I sold it for. I flipped trucks for a living for years. If it don't make dollars, it don't make sense!
