Well my buddies SC IV i did for him was somewhat short lived. it started throwing codes and shift inhibited and then wouldnt shift at all.
His dealer determined the solenoids were working right and there was trash in the valvebody. they never got it running right.
I brought it home and tore the valvebody out yesterday, disassembled it and cleaned everything up all nice and purty like. When i was in there I notcied a lot of shavings, everything was black. The Trim solenoid screens were plugged.
I reassembled everything putting vaseline on all o rings and cleaning and greasing all electrical connections to be safe.
i then put in a new internal filter and spin on filter.
I filled it back up to load it on the trailer and it went into gear fine but threw 9 codes.
I took it to my dealer for them to flush it and diagnose the codes and they couldnt get it to flush. they determined the cooler was plugged or something internally was plugged.
Im going to pick it up again shortly and want to know what to do?? I plan on pulling the trans agaion and cleaning things up and checking it all over but dont know what to do about the cooler being plugged because IIRC its intergrated into the radiator.
So once I get the trans and such cleaned do i remove the radiator and have somebody try to flush out the cooler??
i dont want to stab this thing back in to have it get filled with left over particles??
Also ATS supposedly checked his converter and it was fine.
