    I just found that rockauto.com has the whole sending unit on wholesale for 145 so I bought the entire sending unit. Now since it wont be in I can change the fuel line sizes and get it ready for a lift pump.

    didnt have to take anything off and the head gasket is standard thickness and it said that it works with a, b, and c

    I am rebuilding a lb7. when i turn it over it turns over smooth intil i install the rocker arms. on every cylinder the exhaust valves hit. none of the intake valves hit. it is times so that the single dot on the cam in in the center of the two dots on the crank, at number one top dead center...

    Ok. thanks for all the help. My dads truck is an 06. I have an 02 Duramax, I just didnt want to have to worry about the hassles that he has.

    I do use a winter blend diesel and the batteries were brand new this spring.

    I just thought I could go out there a couple hours before work was over and plug it into the converter. I wasnt sure if that would be to long and it would drain the batteries or not. My dad has a powerstroke I know with his truck if it sits for 5 hours or so it is a joke to get it started again...
