6 speed not updating current gear fast enough

That's good info. I'll try to catch a log of PSM inputs and calculated gear ratio and see which is lagging behind.

6 speed not updating current gear fast enough

Is it looking for pressure switch feedback, or gear ratio calculation? Trans shifts too good to have any type of clutch issue.

6 speed not updating current gear fast enough

So, stock flash didn't help it any. I logged a LMM I have here and from the time the shift is complete to the time it shows current gear update, is about half the time of mine. Shift is clean and not drawn out at all. Really don't think this is in the trans. Thinking I may need to swap TCM and...

6 speed not updating current gear fast enough

I'm pretty good with them normally, but this is my own, so... Lol I really don't think it's internal. Will try flashing stock in a bit to see. Just real busy in the shop at the moment.

6 speed not updating current gear fast enough

It's actually locked in first gear. I'm using a BT box and hitting the button manually in first.

6 speed not updating current gear fast enough

Mine will make the shift within 100rpm of command, but won't command the next shift until the current is updated. I'm going to flash it back to 100% stock with the tech2 later today and will try it this evening. Thanks for the help guys!

6 speed not updating current gear fast enough

It's a hair over 1 sec. So what are the fast Allison guys doing to get it to shift fast enough in the lower gears? I guess I could spin the motor up higher, just doesn't make a ton of power up there. I have the fuel limit set at 4200 to cut some and 4600 is 0mm3 right now and it shifts 2-3...

They are both in that log picture I posted. At the bottom. Its tune related for sure. Just not sure why...

6 speed not updating current gear fast enough

I'll try a bone stock tune to see. I'm going to flash it with my tech2. I believe this to be software related due to the fact that it is waiting for the TCM to update current gear before commanding the next. I have a BT lockup box and locking it at the top of 1st gear. It's not just a normal...

6 speed not updating current gear fast enough

After my track outing today, I have found that the current gear is not updating quick enough after a shift. It is making rpms go north of 4200rpm because it will not command the next gear change until the current gear is updated. I am going to include a tune file and a snapshot of the log. Tune...

6spd stalls high on a hot soak

Well it did it cold this morning also. I checked filter and all is well. Pulled trans and tore it back down. There is a minor scuff on the farthest down sealing ring that seals inside the converter... Not sure if its enough for this issue though.

6spd stalls high on a hot soak

I considered converter drainback, but it doesn't happen cold. If I let it sit all night long, it works perfect in the morning. I pulled the front of the trans down while swapping converters and didn't see any cut rings. I could have missed one though. The problem only seems to happen on a hot...

6spd stalls high on a hot soak

It drives as if it has a 5000 rpm converter. Just revs then somewhere around 2200-2500 rpm, the truck will just start to creep forward. This is with the brakes off, lol.

6spd stalls high on a hot soak

Ok guys, I have one that is really eating my lunch. 2006 6spd, suncoast 6-3r kit with a Precision converter. After getting trans to temp and shutting off for 30 minutes to an hour, upon restart, the converter stalls VERY high. If driven a short distance it will start to operate normal again. I...

instart no restart on great running engine (new Injectors)

If you have any common sense, ether won't kill it. If you use too much it will overspeed the motor and you will have a problem. I would check your cranking rpm very close. I suspect this may be your problem...

instart no restart on great running engine (new Injectors)

How fast is the starter spinning the engine. I believe its around 180 minimum rpm for the pump to build enough psi to start. When it won't start will a small shot of ether make it start? If so, you are spinning too slow, have a weak pump or have a high pressure leak somewhere. I don't think it...

    LMM egr delete plate

More than likely I will end up doing the same. Just takes the machine shop a while to get around to me and I was hoping to get it faster. I saw the other day that sinster is making a kit for the dmax now that has a nice one with the support already on it, but they only want to sell it in their kit.

    LMM egr delete plate

Not for my truck. I have blocked quite a few this way, but have run out of the plates I had made. As long as you support it at the new plate it will not blow out.
