    They came from chunks of the turbine. I sanded the nicks down smooth but there are still some slight gouges in the face of the vanes. I'll post a picture here in a little bit.

    Is there a coating on his vanes like the stock vanes? Also, the material he uses is stainless, correct? The reason I'm asking is that I pulled my turbo and a couple of the vanes have nicks in the surface and I was wondering if I could sand them smooth again without screwing anything up.

    Sorry to hear about your transmission. I was the dude that walked up in the staging lanes while you were trying to figure out what was up with the tranny. You didn't strike me as being in a chatty mood. Hope everything gets sorted out.

    Looks like you need to make a trip up to Ft. Walton. I'd rather pay a Suncoast, Big Dipper, Mike L than do it myself and pay twice. Thats why when I moved out to SoCal, I took my truck to Mike. Couldn't be happier! Well worth the money.

    LLY: bose speaker blown

    I just replaced both my front speakers with a pair of 4 ohm Kenwoods from Best Buy. Bought their cheapest pair. Sounds twice as clear as the Bose. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

    Somebody splain me the whole stacking thing. I know they have to disable the additional timing on one of the programmers. I'm a novice at all of the electronics side of diesel engines so break it down Barney style for us slow folks.

    I think you're talking about the infamous Killer Dowel Pin. I think that was limited to 12v motors.

    Just as the title says. What are the reasons the general populus thinks Cummins engines so great? I'm indifferent either way. I'm completely satisified with my DMax and probably wouldn't switch to a different manufacturer unless the quality went down significantly. Just curious.

    Wolf, did you get to make it down to Fort Morgan? I was back home in Milton, FL today and almost drove out to Navarre Beach to see what was up but was vetoed by the fiancee. You living in Mobile or over on the Eastern Shore?
