    I think it is shifting into 5th I don't data log it normally but my shift points are at 4000rpm since it is a stock motor and according to my calculations it would be at over 5000rpm at 121mph in 4th but I'm honestly not quite sure mabe I should change my shift point for the 4-5 shift to like...

    You can pop the whole thing out and npt tap the case and screw whatever type of fitting you want in there. I have my race truck trans done that way and ran to a catch can since I had it push out some fluid on the track when I was on the convertor staging. IIRC I used 1/8 npt tap

    ok i reckon ill call suncoast in the morning i was hoping somebody had a spec sheet lying around or knew the specs...i also heard of some builders setting certain clutch packs slighty tighter than spec for wear in has any of you builders heard of this? if so is it a good idea?

    fixing to start on this trans and i realised that i didnt get any clearance specs with it its the SUN COAST GMAX-5R-1 RAYBESTOS REBUILD KIT does this kit have certain specs or can i use the atsg manual specs or better yet what clearance do the pros recomend to set these kits at!

    yup had the day off so figured id try to knock it out today its back together and working perfect so far! appreciate the help Mike! Glad i didnt have to spend money on a converter!

    thanks mike thats some good info i used the bolts that suncoast sent for the converter so im confident thats not the issue! one the converter valve im pretty sure i installed it how i took it out however now im second guessing myself i put the flat spotted end in first is that correct?

    No I did not have the converter inspected but I flushed the lines and cooler and I drained and refilled the converter Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

    heres some history toasted my trans and so i rebuilt another one and put it in. its a 6 speed lbz trans i did the flat spot tc valve mod and now its doing this. i did reuse the torque converter its a suncoast 1058 so im thinking i fried the converter any thing i check before i spend money on a...

    Thanks guys for the help put the stock valves back in and made sure they were free and it worked fine till I got warmed up and then it threw a p0762 and went into limp mode didn't have time to mess with it last night but I drove it this morning and it never messed up so I'll see how it goes...

    Yes they are white springs they came with the regulator spring and shim kit I got them from revmax
