    I got my new shaft from Randy's Ring and Pinion. MUCH cheaper than a dealer. I think I paid $150.00, I can't remember exactly. It wasn't more than $200.00. I know you don't need a new shaft but FWIW. Glad you got it out without cutting the shaft. There is several ways to go at it like shown...

    Mine did the same thing. I had to split the case then beat it out with a pry bar. From hitting it on the flange, it cracked around axle, where it goes into the housing. Hard to explain, I hope you kinda get it. I had to buy a new shaft also. I found that that little bastard snap ring had rolled...

    gotcha. Have you seen the speacial "NW mark up"? I have heard of people going over to Dave Smith and buying trucks from them. Just because they have a HUGE volume of vehicles and can sell them for less. I thought about gving them a shot when I go to buy a new one.

    Thanks. I run right around 32-34 PSI (on the gauge), I was curious to see if there was any reason for me to put an extra boot under the back seat for "just in case". I would like to dyno the truck one day with the hood open and see how much the engine torques over and how big the boots...

    That pricing is BS IMO. Wait untill they hit the lot's. You woun't be able to touch a new Denali Duramax for under 60K. My truck stickered for 46K back in 05'. The Duramax/ Allison package was 7K alone. My truck is a LS, not even close to a loaded LT. As much as I would love to have a new Denali...
