Um, James (Chevy1925) has a lifted truck and hauls a 5th wheel I believe. Hopefully he'll chime in with some insight.
not yet. when my truck did haul a 5th wheel, it was stock height. i have 4" of lift in the rear plus where ever 37s land me but the trailers im looking at are not low ground clearance. They will handle my lift no issue (buddy has a 6" lifted dodge and hauls the trailer im after without issue). We did haul a 35ft 95 alfa trailer 5th with my parents old 98 cc/lb with a 4" lift and also a 2002 weekend worrier 40ft 5th. neither had the axles flipped nor was the trailer overly close to the bed.
i see guys with 6" lifted trucks towing 5ths all the time but the trailer that are low ground clearance generally have the axles flipped. Seems like toy haulers get away with this more, not sure if thats a specific reason or if its just cause where i travel most guys have toys they are hauling.
OP, got a pic of the trailer?
