    thanks for the move! the light doesnt bother me right now because its staying on all the time with P0402. and i had heard people talking about it but didnt know if it would actually make any more power. thanks for the info!

    it does have the fuse link. thats where i checked the voltage was at the junction. what wire powers the alt?

    well on our tester off the truck it made 14.7 i think? but i was thinkin the same thing with it on the truck. and as far as i can remember there was not hardly a spark at all when i put the batteries back on, but i do remember a good spark when they tried to jump it off. .

    What is a good smaller truck for my girl?

    i know its a dodge but a 1500 4x4 gets 18-20 average. i had one for a while, and i liked it pertyt well. . but colorados and canyons are tough as heck too. . and so are the 4.8-5.3 gasers. they run forever with good maintanence
