It's a transplant but not a Duramax (still a Chevy though). What you're looking at is a Banks built small block 350 (yes we still build gas engines here), equipped with a Banks Twin Turbo system. This little monster made 800hp on the dyno (video below) and the guy we built it for put it in a custom "Trike".:spit: The dyno crew aborted the test when the tires broke loose as they approached 200mph!!

There was a couple of those here at bike week. Everything from a SC 383 to a 572BBC... Those thiongs are nuts. 800hp on a 1500lb three wheeler..... thats gotta be a fun ride:D

During the dyno test it was pretty funny to see the guys standing around it. Once the engine started screaming (around 7k) and the tires were HOWLING you could see the guys start taking little baby steps away from it.

This engine is EFI but the turbo kit itself will work with either one. The turbos are gated at 10psi.

Take a look at the torque curve....600lb-ft at 3500rpm. Better hang on tight.

Bingo. This is a 91 octane tune, we can get 1200hp out of the same engine combo if the customer wants to run race gas (100 octane+)

It's gated at 10 though being the engine is displacing 381ci it goes slightly higher. This turbo system will max out around 22psi.

I don't know if it would help. Wad this thing up at 200mph and I doubt you'd live anyway. At least your head would still be in one piece. What's a little deciving in the pictures is the size of this thing. It's a lot bigger in person.

theres a guy i know in Brady, TX that built the mini version of that. no where near as powerful, but very similar in style.

Sweet! That head on shot at 1:02 looks wicked with the hairdryers hanging out the side. Love the flames spitting out when the dyno unloads too... :D

Nasty lookin machine.
