    Update....... still doesn’t run, it’s throwing crank sensor voltage and fuel pressure sensor voltage codes for no reason. Wiring, sensors, ecm, ficm everything checks out. Debating doing an LBZ swap. Dealer is stumped, which never happens I know the tech very well. We’re still trying to figure...

    Is 3.5” fine, yes. Would you see more power with 4” maybe. Is it worth the trouble trying to squeeze it in a swap, probably not.

    I’m going to guess injectors because of the hard starting prior. Pull your glow plugs and crank with the bale connectors unplugged. See if any fuel comes out of the glow plug holes.

    I don’t see any benefits to the 3.0. Sure your mpg is better but your maintenance is higher and it costs more than the 6.2 IIRC and is slower.
