This is the end bay. The entire building is 140x66. The shop is 80x 46 with that shed roof being 20ft. Cantilever truss at its maximum safe free span.

Thanks for the compliments, been a long time dream. Concrete averages over 5" depth.
Shop side is the right 4 bays. 3 are across the front and 1 coming in the side.

Wagler's big money engines that use stock blocks are filled, sleeved, and deck plated. Strengthens block but also allows for quick piston replacement. In these applications the thought is the piston is now your weakest point but the couple guys I know haven't hurt pistons, they've broken...
I think that is a fair price for complete head gasket job. I would not reinstall without a machine shop pressure checking them and decking them, though. If his quote does not include that, then it may get too high. Most machine shops are expensive for that work.

Half tons have afm. Their complex lifters are notorious for going bad, causing misfiring. But they dont typically eat cams in that scenario

If you have to, merchant's are the best bang for your buck without getting heavier than needed. We used them at 16xxhp and ran down the track 5500 rpm. Big engine builders will recommend .145 wall pushrods for extreme app's but .083 served us well time after time.
Years ago, we had...
I checked all of them and they are still great shape. Holds the lifters as intended. The two I've done were both like this one. No evidence of the lifter turning sideways or roller frozen. But yet the cam lobe wore off.. ..

Got the cam out. This is the 2nd one I've seen do this. Neither had the lifter roller seized but the surface of the roller looks like this.
