    I understand that. Just saying that all the purpose built race trucks run 1/8 now days. When nhdra was running a lot of guys built 1/4 mile trucks. Now with odss, UCC and other 5.90-6.70 events you wont see much.

    Me, Bandstra and Richard all cracked blocks. All 3 .20 over. All 3 overheated them soon before failure. All 3 in the same power range. (Richard being the lowest). I think the heat kills them. On my new build I went with new block hoping that extra material helps.

    I tried a s472/s488 this spring and hated it. Ran hot and the lag sucked. Went back to triples and never looked back. Depending on your power goals a s369/s484 set up is super fun on the street. Richard Coker has down syndrome. :)

    Exactly. So much knock off junk now days. Never know what you're getting. Buy the 100 dollar part on ebay or the 400 dollar ppe.... is it the same? ;) My orginal lbz one was bought 5 years ago. I switched to the lb7 style last winter. Both have seen over 100 psi a lot. Never a issue...

    I have had great luck with mishimoto. Not a fan of the banks cause the lip on the inlet/outlet isnt big enough in my opinion.

    Well said buddy. Never understood why people are so against safety equipment. I am a weirdo that gets upset when they dont do a complete tech on my truck. ODSS events are pretty strict tech. Doesn't affect the attendance at all.

    Heat cycles play a role also. In my opinion fingers cast is plenty for 95% of the builds out there. They hold up longer then a stock/callies compstar crank can handle. Until you do a SoCal narrow journal and a lml block save your money.

    Fingers for sure. The cast have held 1700+hp. Have not seen a failure with them except for build error.

    Currently a callies compstar. Regret not going with a new OEM LB7. Anything over 1200hp I suggest a lml block and a socal narrow journal crank. After 1200 you're playing with fire.

    A LB7,LLY, LML have more weight on crank and less on damper/flexplate. On the lbz/lmm they removed weight off the crank and added ot to damper/fleplate. If I remember right they removed weight for piston clearance. But it created worse harmonics.

    Never ran billet mains on last engine. 1400hp New one is 1200. Stock mains are fine.

    Have had a couple local customers that had same issue. Tried to fix it themselves with Ebay ones. Made issues worse so they brought truck to us. We only buy from authorized Bosch dealers. Have to be real careful now days. They are doing the same with cummins and lly injectors. Same...
