    Some help for a local

Personally I think it's coolant related since it's milky, usually fuel doesn't produce a milky substance that I've seen. If it is coolant, I'd be curious where it's coming in from. Is he positive he's got the HGs on in the correct orientation/locations? If it is fuel, I would bet a high...

    LB7 build/ LLY swap

Stock shafts, hubs, planets etc. IE no billet internal upgrades are needed in my opinion for a 700whp unit. If you're towing heavy I personally would avoid a S366 or larger. There is not a faster spooling turbo than the factory LB7 turbo, especially if someone takes the time to port/polish it...

    LB7 build/ LLY swap

For 700hp and towing I would do the below myself. Engine: Callies rods, either delipped LB7 or Mahle Motorsport pistons, OEM crank, small cam (no reliefs), main studs, ARP 625 (I urge most people to go right to 625s when building a motor, we all know the bug never stops) Air: stock/S480...

    LB7 build/ LLY swap

In my personal opinion the LLY swap offers no gain anymore now that we have SAC injectors. The only gain, IMO, that can still be argued is the VGT turbocharger. A quality SAC injector for an LB7 lasts just as long as an LLY+ truck as it's the exact same nozzle type. I did have a few...

    LB7 LML Allison 1000 conversion & swap

What wiring did you have to do, swapping the pigtails for A trim/B trim/TCC? Or possibly repin the 06-10 harness? If I recall correctly the resistance values of the trim solenoids or the TCC solenoid is different than the 01-05 unit.

    Injector blowby LB7

Is it leaking near where the feed fitting meets the body? If so, that injector needs to be replaced. This "typically" occurs when a high pressure line is overtightened as the fitting rotates/moves then leaks.

    Injector blowby LB7

I'm still confused. You seem to be doing everything against what people tell you to do for testing. If the crankcase is filling up you have a leak somewhere. Realistically it'll come from cracked injector bodies, sticking injectors bleeding off after shut down, leaking high pressure line...

    Lly/lb7 rebuild

2020 is what I'd run, I do not belive they are different on 2024 but I know the PN I always order from my dealer works great. I am working on an oil cooler kit that uses a sandwich plate. My kit is going to be aimed at the guys who either do not want to swap the cooler on the engine or the guys...

    Engine Oil Cooler Kits

I really like this mounting. I will need to verify space on an ECSB and RCSB but I would love to use the FP360S-M22I from Setrab in this location if possible.

Edge CTS 2 vs CTS 3

Keep the 2 IMO. The 3s are still buggy and inconsistent.

    Strange coolant leak

Pinpoint the leak first. As James (@Chevy1925) said, it could be many things. Too often people turn into a parts cannon and become frustrated that their issue cost them a bunch of money when it can be something relatively simple. If the oil cooler has to come off there is no downside to...

    Engine Oil Cooler Kits

I like the placement in post 152, that may be considered for sure! If so, I bet I'll have to use the larger setrab BUT it would keep things cleaner and out of the way. Some high quality threaded inserts (rivnuts) and boom done. All things to think on!

    Engine Oil Cooler Kits

Honestly you're looking for just some sense of average. I would guess that vehicle to be in the 600-700F area cruising on the flats. Any tune realistically is fine. I will say, SOTF is not helping you on this one. SOTF for an LML (on a high level) is nothing more than a digital throttle stop. A...

    Engine Oil Cooler Kits

I believe so. Setrab FP360S-M22I is the other cooler I want to try. It's easier to fit and could be mounted parallel to the frame similar to how Mike mounted the fuel coolers. I do wish I could find some images of how/where Mike mounted them..........

    Engine Oil Cooler Kits

Probably. Don't get me wrong, the Banks kits are nice but for the added markup there isn't any gain other than that already machined sensor adapter.

Especially when DMax Store offers it for $36.99.

    Engine Oil Cooler Kits

I've seen the oil cooler/oil filter relocation parts from PPE and a few others. This would work if someone wanted to mount their filter elsewhere and is certainly an option but I think that's not needed at all for 99.99999% of customers. To me, that is needed when there simply isn't space for...

    Engine Oil Cooler Kits

With an Amsoil system you’re on your own. They’re an extremely limited use case that doesn’t offer much benefit over a high quality synthetic media filter. I don’t know what you mean by the ports on the cooler being offered as an option? I will be keeping them M22 on the 20+ cooler kits. GM...

    Engine Oil Cooler Kits

I don't doubt this coolers ability to pull heat but that is the joy of testing parts! It's actually close to the FP948M221 at 176.25in2/~528.75in3 vs 207.12in2/379.04in3. The Fluidyine has more core volume but slightly lower surface area in a 2 dimensional view. The Fluidyine cooler I spec'd...

    Engine Oil Cooler Kits

I thought about it. My concern is that only makes the issue worse for 01-05 vehicles. The OEM radiator is already marginal in hotter climates with added power, as such I do not want to add any more heat to the cooling stack. I can put them in-between the frame horns behind the splash shield but...
