Not a bad idea.... That kinda power with enough rpm could throw some parts if it went. I think the dodge boys would love that pic.... looks like he started a forest fire. Took about an hour to get it out, same to get it back in an check for leaks. If yours is just buildup, I don't that I'd be too concerned.... that can be coming from a lot of things that aren't affecting the performance of the engine. Mine was leaking a lot of fuel, enough I was worried about...- whitetrash21

Got it back in. Ran it up to 160mpa idle and had no leaks. Flogged it down the street, still dry as a bone. Still not sure what caused it to leak. There was no garbage down the injector bore, the injector looked fine as did the hp line and return. Something I couldn't see I guess...- whitetrash21

Pull the FICM. 3 bolts hold it in. Disconnect both banjo fittings and swing it out of the way. There's enough slack in the wire to put it on top of the alternator. Did exactly that, nothing much holding it in, since it popped out with hardly any effort. Easier to use the hold down to pry on than trying to get a screwdriver under the injector in that tight space. Thx- whitetrash21

I was just flogging mine around the block, then jump out and run around the passenger side and look for fuel... :D Can't EFI ramp up rail pressure too?? First thing I checked, it was nice and dry. Coming from somewhere behind it.- whitetrash21

Thats the kicker. Only way I can see it being the high pressure line is if it was on the back side where the valve cover really hides that nut on the high pressure line. It may have then run down the backside of the injector, under the hold down and out onto the block. Seems odd it would...- whitetrash21

Got it out, can't see any sign of cracked body, jacked copper or O ring. :confused: Is it possible these things can leak between the different parts of the injector body?? Looks like some sort of stain on the side of it, no coking though. All the mess is on top of the valve cover, very...- whitetrash21

Ah shit! Was there evidence on the head/vlv cover of that kind of coking or was it not visible till you got the injector out?? Just bought new O ring and coppers, now seeing those pics, I don't wanna pull it in case I f$^% the injector up getting it out. :(- whitetrash21

Wish it was that easy. WIF sensor is dry. I can see it dribbling out from under the holddown as soon as I get done driving. Found a fuel leak a couple days ago and its losing a lot of fuel. From what I can see its coming out from under the holdown on the #1 injector?? (passenger side front).
