    Possibly. Some trucks will code, most won't. Mine never did, neither did my 03. You will trip MIL if you block the EGR without a programmer though.

    For the cost, it's easier to just swap out the cat with the front pipe. I've never bothered pricing the hi flow cats. What manufacture pipe do you have now? I may have a front pipe laying around you can try out if you'd like.

    The front pipe with the cat in it is clamped to the down pipe with a v-band clamp and uses a 4 bolt flange to attach to the rest of the exhaust system on the back end. Swapping them out takes about 20 minutes. For one day of emissions testing, its worth the gains you'll see by ditching it...
