Takes me about 15 min to r&r the cat delete pipe when it comes time to smog.
I have the mbrp cat delete pipe that goes into what's left of my banks exhaust. I had to cut off a piece of the banks exhaust so the cat delete pipe would fit (the mbrp pipe has a bell end so it just slides over the existing 4" exhaust) I saved that piece that I cut off so when I putthe cat back on it isn't too short.

Plus the sound difference without the cat is sweet!

I understand. Trying to keep my truck fairly quiet because I often have to take business calls while driving. At least when I'm not on the gas it should be quiet. Wind noise is bad enough at 85 mpg.

it wont be that loud inside the truck. my dad has an '06 with 4" exhaust and no cat and unless he gets on it its quiet.

So...you want to do a 5" stack right

You will be fine with a cat in the system, it will make it a little quite.

Also If you do have a boost leak you are going to clean up a ton of smoke alone. level 2 on the PPE shouldnt cause any smoke at all.

Plan on a high flow diesel cat direct fit to be between $600 and $1000 :D

I have the Magnaflow 5" Spun Metallic Cat (PN 60012) spiced into my MBRP 5" downpipe-back exhaust. It's $257.02 at the Magnaflow web site. The 4" version (PN 60011) is the same price. This cat has virtually no restriction.

Thanks for the reply regarding the Magnaflow Cat. I got the 4" Magnaflow, and so far so good. Still running PPE programmer so not totally sure of my newly installed Cheetah 68s capability though.

One thing I do know is that the Cheetah is pretty loud. I have thought about changing my exhaust to a dual set up to exit the rear because I am thinking that may quiet things down a bit. If so, it may be wise to switch to a 5" (I didn't even know they made a 5").
