Engine Dying w/out warning or codes (Fuel Pressure Regulator??)

My LB7 would just die. Move some stuff around and it would start. A year later and just being lazy with putting up with it I found I had replaced a fuse in the injection B slot, same fuse runs the FICM [ no codes ], with a china made fuse which was not making a good connection. Found the...

I was parked by the return road rail. I talked the owner of the shelled dmax, he had a baby car seat with all the trimmings. He made some two wheel drive passes and some four wheel drive passes then disappeared. Will you be out next time?

So how does rail pressure cause the damage? The only thing I can think of, if this is true, Flash during injection? But I don't know? The effect of the spray from increased pressure but seems kinda lame and would be a lack of pressure if this is the case. Seems the tension of coolish air on...

Did you see all of us unloading a welder, tools and a bunch of junk out of white dmax about 10:30? That was me and JP and some dodge guys getting me ready to make a couple of crappy runs

It would be cool to compare today's opinions with those. How we have all changed. I can't remember you thinking nitrous was the cause but maybe I read past all nitrous related info :baby:. Oh how I shouldn't have. Seems cylinder temperature can be calculated from pressure. As pressure...

This was discussed a year or two ago on this board wasn't it?

If infact erosion is caused by rail pressure, is this erosion pattern the " star " shape? How many folks here have tested pressures and heat with cylinder pressure monitors of some sort?

    No Start problem

I feel for you Pat. My harness project stretched out over months. Have you put a scope on the signal wire to see if it's D.C.? Also, is the pulse a constant voltage square wave pulse or a pulse starting at say 5 volts then dropping indicating a bad connection?

engine over heat with high EGT

Just wondering how? Is it due to the incoming air spinning our fan at 70? Doesn't the fan clutch have resistence, even though it's slipping, requiring torque?

    Happy Birthday Mike

    I couldn't be  Or could I, I just can't remember:rofl:

We had a good time Tyler. Jp, Jimmy and I were all that could make it as far as dmax owners. There were a few dodge guys there saying the usual but only one owner ran. I think we all want some cooler days before anyting real happens?
