Nice dogs. I have a Rhodesian Ridge-back, he is a really good dog. BUT, no stranger even child should pet him or get close for that matter. Very, Very territorial and protective. They don't have bad names but I wouldn't trust one after having two of them. Probably not as strong as Pit...

Stock injectors, dual cp3's, 26,000 rail and trying to keep the shot in the bowl. The thinking at the time was more pressure less pw? I don't know, egt's were low " for us ". I couldn't make up my mind if supercharged and having lower egt's and less drive pressure out weighed higher turbo...

It will be interesting to see what the pistons look like with a low egt high hp engine that will be disassembled over the weekend. It had a couple of bad injectors and is knocking or rattling.

Just as I remember you saying so when it happened. But, didn't you have a weird vibration in the engine?

For the LB7 and LLY guys there are no post injection shots period. LBZ and LMM does have post injection. Melting pistons is occurring with all CR engines.

Throw it and hit it with a hammer. That'll fix it one way or the other. Sorry you are having trouble.

My point is the ice cubes not evaporating fast enough and sitting on the piston. And of course the ice cubes being hot.

In high compression gas engines we'd polish piston tops, round corners and polish all other combustion surfaces. This would decrease surface area as well as keep carbon from forming for longer in an attempt to limit detonation. Not saying detonation is the concern only that we want more piston...

Now it's time to compare this to Diesel. Seems the diesel would help cool the air charge just before flash. Could also explain why diesel is so violent. I really get a strong feeling it's not high fuel pressure causing the problem ( as you feel as well Pat ) but in fact a lack of pressure...

Yes, I got a belt but I will not be running the s/c at this event. I want a t/c only base for this setup as well as the one I'll be going to next. I'll be there.

Question to you Pat. At what ambient fluid temperatures does evaporation no longer work in specific air temps? Air temps in a cylinder are high but so are the fuel temps.
