    4l80E question

How much play was in your int. clutches? You might also have a damaged int. piston.

It is abnormal to have 3 switches installed for the same problem. was the screen dirty on the E pressure switch?

If there is any debris from wear in the Allison; every valve body you install will stick the E shift valve untill you fix the problem internaly and totaly flush the system.

    2019 L5P clunk

It's a good band aid for trans longevity. Don't know if it will help your clunk.

Congrats Mark! 8s 1/4 mile with an Allison!

The clutch lining could have just fallen off. Just guessing.

I'd like to know if TCC works now at normal speed. I take it no codes which is normal. TCC problems can take 100 miles before it sets a code. Mark mentioned stall was not right. bad sprag and race can cause a heat issue to unlock TCC. Could be a glitch in the lock box. I'm thinking.

If the converter hadn't unlocked, they might have the record right now.

Sprag or race might be bad causing it not to stall out properly. That would make the converter act more like a fluid coupling and not multiply tq. I doubt the F trim solenoid is bad. You guys might be in uncharted territory here at your power level and speed concerning TCC apply.

G3 TRANSGO JR 5TH GEAR SLIP

First of all, you don't know if you really have a slip since there is no CEL. Could be something else. As far as the spring goes; spring by itself will give you 280/290psi ( stock is 230.) That should hold up to 800hp. If the power is at around 600 and you have an aggresive driver, add a shim...

G3 TRANSGO JR 5TH GEAR SLIP

Don't mess with that. The ballance piston is there to help stop the factory tie up on the 3/4 shift. That's why the full Transgo is no longer used by the top shops. I proved this back in '06 on Nasty Girl ( first 1000 hp Duramax.)

    Trans Service Advice

If the trans is fresh, 60/90 hp tune would be ok if you don't hot rod it much. if it has miles on it, then it already has clutch damage and I would not run a tune.
