    All of the OS's are fine, here is my thoughts though.. XP-I like this OS. You will have trouble finding it on a machine you just walk in and buy. You can order from Dell business and get it or it will most likely be a option on other machines. For personal use there is really no security risk...

    cutting a hole for a stack

    Hole saw 1" dia. bigger than the stack dia. Later on you can mig it back in place and maybe spray liner it or something over it. It wont be clean putting it back in unless you like to spend a lot of time welding, grinding, sanding, painting lol.

    I have in Virtual mode....I never tried EFI, but AutoCAD. I have a 99.9% feeling EFI would run just fine this way.

    Microsoft Office...lol Do you mean Microsoft OS??? Yes, it does. If you pick up a MAC, you will need to run MS with it somehow (dual boot/emulator, etc.)

    I dont think misting the intercooler is going to help much at all, especially after boost comes on and heats it up even hotter.
