LB7: Weird LB7 cyl 7 and white smoke after new injectors

Kind of stumped after this truck, 03 lb7 with 80k on it here for injectors. I always use LDS injectors stock size for this application and also resealed 4 cups while it was apart. put a fass 150 and cat filter head on under the hood. Changed the oil and fired it up. For some reason it's...

    Broken Crankshaft Count?

I can agree, the wagler stage 1 street AF cams have a distinctive sound to them. I'm paranoid of different engine sounds from my AF cam lly I drive on the weekends while I drive a stock lb7 and stock lly during the week

    Anybody have one of these...

I also plan on sending my sxe369 to "Work" turbochargers to be made into the 74/74 along with using the garret style 1.01 larger housing. Should be around 1k on fuel only out of this single charger!

My personal experience with 72R-vgt to SXE369 swap.

I never said I wasn't pleased with kory. If I wasn't I would have switched back in 2013

My personal experience with 72R-vgt to SXE369 swap.

Kory has tuned this truck since 2013 when i first got it and he has done a great job. Ive never really had any issues with him besides getting ahold of him to retune after sending data logs, but thats expected with a huge company. Alot of people also have to put into account hard parts also...

My personal experience with 72R-vgt to SXE369 swap.

Definitely not saying I hated the vgt, I enjoy how they spooled and ran. I was intending on going over to mark to have it tuned but I couldn't justify the cost of tuning plus a 6 hour one way drive. I've heard many good things about Starlite tuning and theither fixed vane charger tuning

My personal experience with 72R-vgt to SXE369 swap.

I also sent many data logs to kory and dialed in my previous 72r. It drove smooth and did good on the street but hands down sxe369 if you're looking for very similar spool up but insane top end power

My personal experience with 72R-vgt to SXE369 swap.

Not bashing anyone but I will definitely never own another modified VGT turbo again. I wasn't really impressed with the 72r compared to the fleece 68 cheetah or dts71.5. Either way the fixed vane chargers you can tell the truck runs way smoother and effortlessly compared to having high drive...

My personal experience with 72R-vgt to SXE369 swap.

theres been a lot of talk lately about going with a fixed vane charger. To start off, ive tried almost everything besides compounds as far as turbos go. this truck has seen stock turbo, Fleece billet 68, DTS 71.5, and the latest danville 72R vgt. on a built motor/trans truck, mods are in my...

    LLY: Help with weird acceleration/pull

Just picked the front end off the ground and checked it. Everything seems tight and visually the pitman and idler arms do not look bent or sloppy, The only steering wheel slop i have its roughly 1 inch of steering wheel play coming from the gearbox. Any other ideas or should i go ahead and try...

    LLY: Help with weird acceleration/pull

Makes sense. I'll give that a try. Figured I'd ask you guys on here before I started throwing parts at it ! Wheel bearings seem to be tight by the way and each has the same amount of resistance to want to turn by hand

    LLY: Help with weird acceleration/pull

I will be checking steering components tonight for slack in any way, and is there any correct way to check for a bad bub bearing? I replaced those this summer as well and used Detroit axle brand bearings. Also, what symptoms did you have with yours being a bent arms?

    LLY: Help with weird acceleration/pull

The centerlink has two braces on each side built into the lift kit. I'd have to send you a picture to describe it, it has the two eyelet links and basically does the same support as cognitos

    LLY: Help with weird acceleration/pull

4x4 launches are a little rough but as long as you hold the wheel it won't pull too hard to the left. I also have contemplated trying new CV axles. Next step is maybe taking the front drive shaft out to see if that helps or diagnoses my small vibration. New brake lines and calipers in July also

    LLY: Help with weird acceleration/pull

I took the truck in for alignment because I had a bad wheel hop in the front end and it pulled left along with a crooked steering wheel

    LLY: Help with weird acceleration/pull

I have g2 tie rods, stock knuckles, red head steering box along with moog pitman arm. The idler arm isn't new but it's tight. All centerlink joints and everything seems tight

    LLY: Help with weird acceleration/pull

Looking for a little suspension help here. just did a pro-comp 6 inch lift with front ladder bars and 2 inch rear blocks, the front has stock keys with only a few turns in the bolts to keep pressure on them, i got it aligned at the local GM dealer who always does a great job for me in the past...

    2017 Duramax

Couldnt agree more with this. I wouldnt own one of those new ones, plain and simple dont like them. Are they good looking trucks? well hell yes, at a pricetag of 70k they should be the best looking out there. I have no urge to buy a newer model compared to my LLY.
