    This is the post I was referring too, mahle lb7/lly pistons are definitely not as good as mahle race cast or the mahle/fingers but they do the job just fine for mild builds and are not complete trash.

    The newer mahle cast race pistons are a good bit stronger even than the lb7/lly pistons that were made by mahle. I guess I'm not understanding you..

    Mahle lb7 pistons are not "complete trash". Back in the day if you wanted 8-900 hp they were the go to piston, most will agree they are fairly safe at around 700 hp but have been ran for short periods around 1,000 hp although they won't last long at that. They are plenty tough for what they are.

    At a glance they looked like the lml rods to me, Lincoln Diesel sells brand new lml rods for $69.99 and Wagler sells re-furbished lbz rods for $25.00 each.

    Their reply... Stock style rods, the next level up would be wagler, and then Carillo would be the best of the best I continued to ask if they were machined lml rods but haven't gotten any more replys.

    Okay I sent them this message.. 06-16 Duramax Rods have proven themselves to hold 650-700 horsepower many times. I am wondering if these are re-worked stock rods or if they are actually stronger than stock.

    Lol I don't guess 675 hp is considered moving a ton of air, I know the stock one will work fine I just thought I might see some nice gains with this Danville Turbo. Honestly even if I gained 20 hp it isn't worth $1,100 though.

    LB7: 1200HP build

    I don't know nearly as much as these guys but from what I understand the LB7 block isn't as strong as the LBZ-LML block. Is running 1200 on that block bored .020 over not a concern? I do realize running a big single is much easier on things so that may not be a concern with OP's set-up.
