Honestly what ever you did worked well at sea level. At elevation it wasn't happy. With that said, I would argue on a dedicated drag/puller it would be much more ideal than a street truck as big single chargers are easier to work on and easier on hard parts.

Agreed 110%. Just big single in t4 not t6 housing ;)

I don't know nearly as much as these guys but from what I understand the LB7 block isn't as strong as the LBZ-LML block. Is running 1200 on that block bored .020 over not a concern? I do realize running a big single is much easier on things so that may not be a concern with OP's set-up.

T6 on a duramax is not fun period. Unless you like to daily drive with a spool jet 24/7 and even then is not enjoyable. I even did some secret squirrel shit in your file to ATTEMPT to help spool up LOL.

If you don’t have the head and cam flow that matches a t6’s flow, it will not be fun.

We spooled a 1.32 housing 483 with a 106 on top at 8,000 ft DA on a 2500rpm stalled converter with no issues. Cummins but same principles apply. It’s all based on cfm in and out

Mmmmm, stock heads with a 6480af here. Rick's manifolds/up-pipes. Honestly wasn't awful but not what I was after for this truck's purpose.
